War Party Mammoth & Companions

A bit of disappointment today as I realized the war party mammoth doesn't work with party members companions. When I tried it today while grouped with my girlfriend, with each of us having a companion, I was able to fit *my* companion, my girlfriend, and myself on the mammoth - her companion was left on their own mount.
Is it wrong of me to expect that a 5.5k crown mount also fit both the players and all the companions? It feels like the perfect mount for duo-player groups, but this kinda soured the main selling point of the mount for me. And from a quick search online, no one had posted about this prior to the mount coming out today, so it's not like the community could've known. Feels misleading.

MidnightDuel✭✭✭✭The War Party Mammoth was tested on the PTS and the situation @BeeRian2020 mentions above was noted. There were also a few twitch streams where players tested the mount during the PTS cycle with the same assessment. Who can say what was or was not reported OR why the feedback wasn't acted upon. Often things hit the Crown Store or the Crown Crates without ever having been player tested.
While I was surprised by the additional 500 crown cost over other multi-rider mounts, it is the first of its kind. No other mount has been introduced that can carry more than the owner-player and one other passenger.
Lastly, if the War Party Mammoth is going into battle in Cyrodiil, companions aren't allowed there at all.1
