Gray Host - population bars not working

BetweenMidgets✭✭✭✭✭I saw someone else mention this in another thread, and I think it is likely what is going on.
ZoS mentioned they wanted to have MYM be a more frequently occurring event, so it has been shortened. This probably also explains why they did not spool up new servers for the event. If it is just supposed to be something they can flip on and off, they will likely want to do that without having to add new servers each time. All that seems reasonable.
I do find it interesting that in their new age of transparency they didn't feel they should share this with the playerbase. I can make some educated guesses though, I imagine you can, as well.
They are probably wanting to assess if they need additional servers for the event, especially considering the removed the trade bars associated with the only PVP event that had tickets. As such, the PVE community has finally gotten their way and will not be participating in the event.
As many PVPers are not interested in Vengeance, they are forced to sit through massive queues to get into GH and BR, and they will likely not participate either.
It almost appears as though ZoS has really set up this selection bias with perfection. They will definitely get the results they expect to see, given the situation they have fabricated.PC-NA2 -

It's pretty obvious once again they are trying to force people into Vengeance and taking away people having options to force participation.1 -

We raised the “no more Trade Bars” question back when MYM was tested on PTS last round. Their answer was “the Trade Bars are now in the Veterancy system.”
But as someone who doesn’t enjoy PvP, I’m absolutely sitting this one out. I grinded my way to Veterancy 100 already, got those trade bars, and I have zero desire to get back in there. This will 100% reduce the desire for PvE players to go in.1 -

Makes sense. People are mainly upset they broke the population bars on Cyro / IC so no one knows which campaign has population to PvP in, they didn't reset leaderboards or add other campaigns like usual and it comes off like they are trying to trick / force people into Vengeance again after the outrage they just received by a majority of the PvP community a week ago. Just lacks any semblance of care or improvement on communication.

im with the other guy and remember new campaigns opening with new leaderboards to fill while GH and BR were filled with the previous and no reset. over there the pvpr's prepped for mym on leaderboards for emp0 -

WHAT?!?! I though this was done to temp fix the vengeance misleading bars by making everything one bar for the event so folks will not be fooled thinking vengeance has zero pop when in fact has more then the other campaigns combined.Edited by Techwolf_Lupindo on August 6, 2026 11:49PM1 -

Um nope. I’ve healed for many an emp and it sucks because we can’t go farm AP and instead have to defend emp. I have every PvP achievement you can get except for the brand new ones.
Also, the campaigns are 30 days and midyear lasts a week. It used to be longer.
