Gem of Agility ??

I FINALLY got my gem! It was in the final chest of the Auridon DE. When I opened the chest, at first I couldn’t loot it because my inventory was full. I hurriedly made space and reopened the chest and it was still there.

I’ll be giving DEs a break now unless one is up when I happen to be in the zone.

Only reason I’m doing the DEs now is for the gem drop. Absolutely the worst rng I’ve encountered yet. Over 150 done and no joy yet. 😐

I’ve looted 5 eel pie recipes during this process as well. Go figure.

so i have over 20 fools gold furnishings now and nearly 20 tapestry of the hunt...zos you can drop the gem now any time...any time... thank you

I honestly don't know if the drop rate has been improved for the gem but I do know that every one I've gotten has been after doing at least 50 events. I have five accounts (yes that's excessive but I'm a guildless hoarder) and two of them have been from the first chest of the Stonefalls event and three have been from the first chest of the Auridon event.

All told I've ran close to the same number of events at each location and I've never seen a drop from the Glenumbra event. That could just be my RNG coming into play or it may not drop in that event. If anyone has seen it there feel free to chime in.

this is one of the worst farms i've ever encountered (dynamically or otherwise!), and i swear zos said they'd make a commitment to respecting players' time. not seeing it here!

I finally got it on both accounts. Didn't keep track of encounters, but it was alot. I don't have the desire to do anymore encounters. No reason too now.

With U51 they are increasing the drop chance.

Update: I stopped and looked after each encounter and found a chest. It's no wonder I didn't see them with all the players crowded around. It would have been nice to have known this before.

Update: I stopped and looked after each encounter and found a chest. It's no wonder I didn't see them with all the players crowded around. It would have been nice to have known this before.

I did the Stonefalls DE numerous times before I heard there was an actual donkey sack to put the fish in. Then I either couldn’t find it because there were so many players around I couldn’t see it, or I was blocked from interacting with it for some reason.

With U51 they are increasing the drop chance.

from 0.1 to 0.15....

with the number of breton wells i have now i could solve the global water crisis...

Yes, you can either fish for the viper eels or pick the fetid herbs. I get tired of the npc saying that word and pronouncing the “h” in it.

The Transmute station will recognize it at its current upgrade level. Here's a current screenshot I just took, which reflects the stats for 2 gems having been applied.

I’m guessing it’s because some of us are used to hearing the word herb pronounced as “erb”. 😉

From the all-knowing Internet:

“The "h" in "herb" is silent in American English, but pronounced in British English.”

But if you’re referring to the mechanics of the encounter where we have to either pick herbs or fish, it was probably weeks before I realized what was going on because of all the other players there. I would run for a green marker and it would disappear before I would get there and the encounter would start moving on from the beach before I had a clue what was happening.

Well, speak for yourself. I get tired of NPCs *not* pronouncing the H in Herbs.

I believe this is a British / American discrepancy of pronunciation: but it particularly annoys me when a character with a British accent (or, at least, an American's idea of a British accent, which is not always the same thing) says Erbs, where an actual British person would say Herbs.

Did everyone see this in today’s PTS Notes…

Dynamic Events
Phynaster's Gem of Agility is now guaranteed to drop from dynamic events after earning the "Folk Hero" achievement by completing 30 dynamic events, provided you've earned the Prowler's Amulet and haven't already earned said Gem of Agility.

It isn't guaranteed though. I didn't get the gem of agility on the first run I did. I did get it on the second though. So still better, but not guaranteed. Can't speak to how it's dropping for others of course.

I'm assuming this guarantee isn't in effect until U51 witch is August 31st and I just got lucky on my second run today. I've done between 50 and 80 of the dynamic events so far, so I was already overdue for the drop.
