So Whitestrake's Mayhem "no longer grants Trade Bars"? That's a pretty major change to this event!

So if we hand in Cyro or IC quests we just get normal loot? Do we get gold and purple boxes still? Will there be new style pages? Will there even be an impresario..?

It's a tradition, or an old charter, or something...

Veterancy and Tamriel Tome gives Trade Bars.
There is the current Bethesda 40th anniversary promo code that gives 2000 Bars, Bethesda40.

The impressario does still appear during Mayhem yes and she will have all old Mayhem collectibles.
    Veterancy has new styles.

The Mayhem text from update 50 pts patch notes from April:
    Whitestrake’s Mayhem
Runs from April 20 through April 27 on PTS.

The Whitestrakes Mayhem live event has seen several changes to its length and design as an update coming this summer. August will mark the first time we are running the new "One Week Whitestrakes" and we can't wait for your feedback and notes on this venerable PvP throwdown.

    What is Whitestrakes Mayhem?
At its heart, Whitestrakes remains the same. When the event is live Cyrodiil, Battlegrounds, and Imperial City combat offer a number of additional rewards. Fighting in those zones gives +100% Alliance Points and +100% Experience, as well as +100% Tel Var stones from most sources. All harvesting in Cyrodiil drops additional resources as well.
The vendor called "the Golden" will still make an appearance on the weekend of Whitestrakes Mayhem. She'll be accompanied by a brand new assistant, so you can purchase both amulets and rings from among their beautifully gilded inventories.
Completing PvP quests and engaging in PvP combat will earn you Pelinal's Boon Boxes along with your Rewards for the Worthy containers. These event-only reward boxes offer some tantalizing benefits both new and old!

    What's changed?
Whitestrakes is now a one-week event. It no longer gives out Trade Bars (formerly event tickets) through any of its activities while it is live.
The Impresario will be live while Whitestrakes is up so that players that want to acquire past Whitestrakes Mayhem rewards can do so. There's an enormous number of style motifs that will become available via the Impresario and Philus Dormer in the new version of Whitestrakes Mayhem, so keep your eyes open for trade bar opportunities between now and then.
Going forward, any new Whitestrakes Mayhem rewards will be focused through the Pelinal's Boon Boxes.

    Why did Whitestrakes Change?
In short, so that the Whitestrakes live event can act as a more lightweight, "drop-in" style activity, we can run several times a year.
As part of our broader Seasons-based strategy we want to try to take different approaches on events both new and old, as you'll see with High Seas of Tamriel later this year.
Our current plan is to run Whitestrakes in August and November of this year, and then roughly "once every three months" in 2027. This is our current plan in April of 2026 and - as with so many things in life - is subject to change.
As part of this change, Pelinal's Boon Boxes have received a bit of a glow-up in terms of their contents.

We look forward to your feedback this week on Whitestrake’s Mayhem!

Thanks very much, LunaFlora - that's really helpful :)
I'm going away for work next week and was wondering whether I should bring my personal laptop with me. Doesn't seem like Whitestrake's has much to offer me anymore, so lappie can stay home.
It's a tradition, or an old charter, or something...

Whitestrakes in this current meta is going to be miserable. Almost want to log in during it to read zone chat.

I already figured Mayhem would be a lot quieter since people won't need to join to get tickets and trade bars don't have the same FOMO draw, but not even granting trade bars at all is... a choice. How much more can they de-incentivize Mayhem participation, I wonder.

    Hi devs,

I’ve been playing Vengeance daily for the past 2 months atleast 5 hours a day (10+ hours/day during this test). I even got ESO+ for the first time to fully experience the test so I could give a real feedback.

Sets felt great. Keeping the 5-piece bonus is a good choice, it added what vengeance needed since we dont have skill morphs there. but I believe that starting with crafted sets + mythics would be the right choise since it allow monetization while still encouraging healthy player interaction, since crafting is the base/easy content.

Loadouts are fine, but Unleashed Fury is overtuned and should be heavily nerfed or removed.

    Class balance:

    * Templar: needs more sustain and damage.
    * Nightblade: needs a nerf (Grim Focus or invis healing).
    * Dragonknight: only unbalanced due to Unleashed Fury since they dont have, damage so their healing keep them playable.
    * Sorcerer: needs instant Frags; damage is too low making it almost unplayable without Overload spam.
    * Warden: lacks sustain and damage; costs on skills are too high.
    * Necro / Arcanist: need better magicka/stamina sustain. they are great on 1v1 but bad for medium/large scale pvp.

Thank you for keeping vengeance updated, even big PVP Streamers said that vengeance COULD be a restart for cyro, if you
guys makes the right balancements, so one day Gray Host wont make ESO's PVP reputation bad again.

Wow? Why do away with any incentive for the casual players and pvers to participate in the Mayhem? I don't understand this decision at all.

Whitestrake’s Mayhem Changes – Full Breakdown & Concerns

Based on the Update 50 PTS notes (April), here is the full understanding of what is changing with Whitestrake’s Mayhem and why players are concerned.
What Whitestrake’s Mayhem Has Always Been

Whitestrake’s Mayhem (formerly Midyear Mayhem) has never been a “lightweight” event.
    It has always been:
    • The biggest PvP event of the year
    • The only PvP event of the year
    • The only time PvE players flood into Cyrodiil
    • The only time AP farming becomes worthwhile
    • The only time the Golden Vendor is relevant
    • The only time PvP gets cosmetics, titles, and unique rewards

The event’s identity has always been exactly what the name implies: Mayhem.
Removing incentives removes the population that creates that mayhem.
    What the Patch Notes Say

    From Update 50 PTS:
Whitestrakes is now a one-week event.
It no longer gives out Trade Bars (formerly event tickets) through any of its activities while it is live.
…so that the Whitestrakes live event can act as a more lightweight, “drop-in” style activity we can run several times a year.

    Event rewards now include:
    • +100% Alliance Points
    • +100% Experience
    • +100% Tel Var stones
    • Extra harvesting resources in Cyrodiil
    • Pelinal’s Boon Boxes
    • Golden Vendor + new assistant

    What’s removed:
    • No Trade Bars
    • No event-ticket-based rewards
    • No new Impresario items tied to Mayhem
    • No Midyear Mayhem reward structure

    What’s added:
    • Whitestrake’s will run more often
    • New rewards will come only from Pelinal’s Boon Boxes
    • Impresario will sell past Whitestrake items (but you must earn Trade Bars elsewhere)

    Planned schedule:
    • August 2026
    • November 2026
    • Roughly once every three months in 2027
Why Removing Trade Bars Is a Problem

PvE players do not come to Whitestrake’s for lore or AP.
    They come for:
    • Trade Bars
    • Cosmetics
    • Motifs
    • Collectibles
    • Seasonal fragments

Removing Trade Bars removes the incentive that brings PvE players into PvP.

    Without that incentive, Whitestrake’s becomes:

    “just another week in Cyrodiil.”

PvE gets monthly Trade Bar events.
PvP now gets a reduced event with no Trade Bars at all.
    Midyear Mayhem vs Whitestrake’s Mayhem

Midyear Mayhem was the “big” PvP event:
    • Trade Bars
    • Titles
    • Achievements
    • Cosmetics
    • Large population
    • High AP gains

    Whitestrake’s Mayhem is now:
    • Shorter
    • More frequent
    • Lower reward
    • No Trade Bars
    • No major incentives

The patch notes imply Midyear Mayhem is effectively gone.
    The Title Issue (Whitestrake I–V)

Many players do not have the Whitestrake titles even though they play every year.

    This is because:
    • You must redo the intro quest every year
    • The quest gives no visible reward after year 1
    • The memento is reused
    • Skipping the quest means losing that year’s title tier

After year 1, players skip the ritual and head straight into PvP, unaware they missed the achievement.
    Summary
    • Whitestrake’s Mayhem has never been lightweight
    • Removing Trade Bars removes the incentive that creates the “Mayhem”
    • PvE gets monthly Trade Bar events; PvP now gets none
    • Midyear Mayhem’s reward structure is gone
    • Whitestrake’s will run more often, but with fewer rewards
    • New rewards are only in Pelinal’s Boon Boxes
    • Impresario sells old rewards, but you must earn Trade Bars from PvE
    • Titles require repeating the intro quest every year

If Whitestrake’s is meant to be lightweight and repeatable, that’s fine — but the original Midyear Mayhem should remain as the major annual PvP event with Trade Bars and titles.
