Expired auction items missing

Why sometimes expired items in the guild auctions doesn't show up in the mail ?
I have had the problem before when the expired items showed a couple of weeks after in my mail. Normally they appear in mail instantly. Sometimes relog helps but if they get stuck like this it will take a long time. I have not lost any items so far though, they have appeared in mail eventually.
The main problem is that the auction house tells me I have a full list of items on sale when I actually do not. This prevents me to auction more items.
At the moment the auction panel says I have 30/30 items on sale but in fact I have only 26 items on sale.

So all is fine, but it's annoying when it happens.
