I admit it, a lot of MY PROBLEMS are self-made!

I have hit level 3600, but since I have other accounts, I wanted to start again.
Nothing Wrong with that, a GAME THAT I AM HAPPY WITH, replaying, with amassed knowledge, I have started to get “Fashionable!!”, I had started to Farm Achievements, basically doing lots of things I missed out on the first Run Through.

I also Brought another friend back into the game, and thought that it would be nice for them to play with a person of a near same level, share the struggles and the victories.

We all Bought them the additions, DLC’s etc using our Crowns. And it was kind of fun, for a while!

But that has highlighted the Problems for me. I still want ALL of the New Stuff on the old account, No Problem I can put in the effort!

But with all of the Extras being added, the Forced Grind over errors, it is making the rerun of the game impossible!

More so for the person Returning after 10 years! They are in the same situation, play the game or get the stuff to make the game better, which!!

Once more partly MY FAULT, ie you want to do x to get champion points, you want to do Y to get armours, you want to do Z to get Monster sets. They / We saw the benefits, made the game Not easier as such, but more fulfilling and rewarding, Actually being able to do Dungeons, rather than spend hours as a Level 15 getting your butt handed to you for nothing!

But having to do everything Else in the way of Event This That or the Other, or miss out on some nice things, or simply the ability to get plans etc from the boxes, then the expansion of the game in multiple directions feeling like “for Today only!!” (do not worry it will be back next year)..
The Simple things like ABC, level your toon, do the starter quests, get a home.. All of this has become impossible for the new player, Me included!

The result has been, we are All out of pocket Crown Wise, he is out of pocket Buying the “ultimate Edition later” to upgrade his base edition, only to be sickened by the grind!
AND THEY WERE AN MMO PLAYER, the comparison to other MMO’s from their perspective, its not as modern – a lot of it is dated, which is good, because you can evolve with the game - but there is simply not the time needed to do all of this. You either start new and do without the old, or start old and do without the new.

As a result, they only lasted 2-3 months, they are gone.

I feel the same way as them, how do you deal with all of this? As a New or returning player.

I am not going for Homes – I have them , Kind of – I am not going for Armours, I can go to the main home and make them – I do not have to worry about materials, main has plenty of them. But Additions to the game, some come and go, others are here to stay, but until you do it all you will not know what’s well or needed or not!

Night Market – Free House YAY, everything Else Not really Needed,. But good for levelling up. But unless you did it you could not come to a conclusion!

If you did it, you were not doing anything else!!!

So yes in a lot of ways My Problems are self-made – But they are being viewed from a “new player point of view”

No New players – No Game going forward

Its also the reason I am on the forum, rather than my normal in the game... I simply cannot face the in game depresion right now!

Speaking as an old new player (leveling up characters on an new alt account), it's not necessarily depressing. I just have to go back and look at problems as a new player would have to look at them.

Yes, got to go hunt skill points and skyshards all over again. Yes, got to go hunt down motifs, recipes, and plans all over again. Yes, got to go work through all those zone stories again. Yes, got to obsess over needing to find three Corn Flower to complete an Alchemy writ (that was close to a half-hour problem and no, I'm not happy about that). Yes, got to go through the whole mount upgrades and trait research rigamarole again. Yes, working my way up from two inn rooms all over again. "Fashion disaster" writ large, all over again. And so forth...

That is precisely what new players go through. The OP did it when they were a new player, I did it when I was a new player, and I strongly suspect that we both survived it (I'm pretty sure about me, but I'm making assumptions regarding the OP). Wasn't that kind of the whole point of an alt account? If it was just new characters, I've still got a couple of freebie slots left and 10 unpurchased Crown Store slots where I could just pick up from my current CP level and move forward. Levels 1 to 50 is mostly just one long tutorial anyway. The fun part for me is being able to set aside most of the ease-of-life that I've earned over the years and go back to "roughing it" until the new ones earn some of that ease-of-life on that account.
I'm fresh out of outrage, but I could muster up some amused annoyance if required.

the way i manage and utilize my 2nd acct is more for passive farming, so i generally send all the mats from my 2nd acct to my main acct

when i need something on my 2nd acct, i just use my main acct to craft what i need, if its a drop i need, then ill just carry my 2nd acct through dungeons to get the necessary gear

i dont really want to play the game through from scratch, in fact the whole set up of a new character and doing all the skill pts etc, is annoying enough i still only have 11/20 characters lol
    plays PC/NA

    active player since april 2014

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (fully filled out with current game), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

in progress: acquiring mundus stones (currently only have the thief)

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

I have to admit, it was a lot easier going from the start with a few zones, every one of them explored to death... then building up as the game built up. Now the size of the game makes it a slog to gather everything...

But it was something that I always loved about the game, the challange of trying to get your litle player all leveled up and capable.

    Hence the start again.

Do not get me wrong I love my cp3600 account, had it a long time, but strolling into anywhere with all thopse CP's armours etc, it was geting too easy and not as much fun.

Changin the level to vestige is still a challange, and also fun! but nothing beats that little lvl 40 toon trying ot work out what to do with it, fighting like hell to simply survive!

My hat is off to you, OP. There is simply no way I would start again on another account unless I was forced to do so, and even then I would seriously consider if it would be worth the trouble. There are things I have on my account that I have gotten along the way that I would never ever want to take the trouble or time to get again, and knowing that might make me want to never even start over.
