Maintenance for the week of August 3:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – August 3
• ESO Store and Account System for maintenance – August 4, 5:00AM EDT (9:00 UTC) - 4:00PM EDT (20:00 UTC)

So when will class rework be complete at this point? 2031?

It also means that we won’t see a new class before longer.

Selfishly, this is one thing I'm devastated about.

I love new Classes and levelling up a new character. But we're at 3 years since Arcanist by now, and the original timeline would have made that a 5-year gap at minimum. ESO's pretty well released a new Class every 3 years on average (3 from release to Warden, 2 to Necro, 4 to Arc), so we are due.

Besides, a lot of other MMOs just released new Classes/Jobs/etc. as well, and the release of something like that is always a huge driver of engagement. Definitely more than forced FOMO at any rate.

While I am hardcore on the Artificer train, I have also really gotten a bug in my mind about a Geomancer - they did add that "Earth damage" type that is used in exactly one place (the buff from the boulder puzzles in the Night Market), so I could imagine a whole Class around that, and we have seen NPCs who use Geomancer attacks that send out rocks or earthquakes (including one called a Geomancer...).

But yeah, I hope that a new Class will eventually be coming... and that the Refreshes won't end up releasing only one per year...

I refuse to believe after all of this pushback on Warden’s delay of at least 6 months, that they would restrict us to ONLY Warden next year.

The question I have; is this… what about our weapon skill reworks? I hope they understand that these are just as important.
Dragon Priest [Restoring Light, Draconic Power, Grave Lord]
Death Knight [Grave Lord, Winter’s Embrace, Siphoning]
Pyromancer [Ardent Flame, Dawn’s Wrath, Earthen Heart]
Summoner [Living Death, Grave Lord, Daedric Summoning]
Ranger [Animal Companions, Green Balance, Shadow]
Druid [Earthen Heart, Animal Companions, Stormcalling]
Elementalist [Stormcalling, Winter’s Embrace, Ardent Flame]
Dawnguard [Dawn’s Wrath, Restoring Light, Ardent Flame]

This shows how eso is behind other mmos. The reason is simple, they are LAZY. And now they will be working even slower.

    Hot take, it’ll never happen.

    I agree.

They started this whole refresh thing when morale was good and the resource pool was wide.

Pretty sure if the layoffs would be a few months earlier they would have canned DK before it came out and canned the whole refresh idea with the layoffs as reason.

Now they have the impossible task of trying to please everyone and probably please no one.

The content pipeline is probably not big enough to churn out reworks, seasonal content, zones, dungeons and trials. Because everyone wants something that is on their bingo card.

And the irony is: chapters had something for everyone. And those who like multiple facets of the game got a lot of new playthings when those dropped.

    Ah well…

With Scribing the chances for new classes or weapons was sealed. Also they would have to sell new classes in the Crown Store as all new content is free, which is a bitter taste.

I just wish they would make more out of Scribing.

I also don't believe some of these class reworks can happen until they drop support for older consoles.

Nothing really good can happen before it, I am just curious at what point there will be nothing to cut from a game to squeeze new features. when animations will be made with like 3 frames?
