Nothing to Spend Trade Bars On

Could crown crates be introduced as a trade bar option? As it is now, I have over 15000 trade bars, but already own all seasonal items. I also have all gold coast wares that can't be purchased multiple times such as the conumsables.

I really like the Bazaar, but it's sort of impoverished for options in my case.

yes in Season 2 Frost Atronach crate rewards will be available in the Gold Coast Bazaar.

i assume subsequent Seasons get other Crates rewards.
There will likely be more new things in the future to purchase and it is better to have too many Trade Bars than not enough.

I'm in the same boat, I already have everything except the consumables. But I'm happy to have more trade bars than I can spend after years of tickets that I had to spend!

I'm guessing the crate stuff being added is mostly for us long term players to have something to spend spares on

I have the opposite problem as a new player, not enough trade bars! I feel like things are too expensive for the amount of trade bars we can earn (I understand why though) I'm sitting on 500 bars, hoping an event comes through so I can earn more

Between buying the class skill colors, the mounts and pets, I'm beggared, and there's still more things I want!

I kinda wish the indrik vendor would be there all year round & just sell them all at once now, as a returning player trying to collect them all is slightly annoying

No, the website post says crate rewards so it should be the individual items from the crates.

Which means if you have too many Trade Bars right now, you can probably spend it on the Radiant Apex mounts or get a bunch of the Frost Atronach target dummy.

I was hoping for new recolor skill styles to be added, but oh well.
I'm saving up my bars for future events, since event tickets have been replaced with those.

I've got over 22K of bars at this point and am still waiting for something to show up in the bazaar that I haven't already got, or actually want. Pretty disappointing so far.

Like a lot of what’s going on in ESO right now, the Bazaar doesn’t account for long term players.

There’s very little in the store that I haven’t already got - and what I haven’t got, I don’t want.

Have to admit that I kind of agree with the OP on this. I've been a very active player for five-ish years, so most of the stuff in the Bazaar is stuff that I've already accumulated (and mostly don't use; I'm about as guilty of "having for the sake of having" as anyone else) or didn't want the first time it rolled around. I've bought all of the Indrik mounts over the years, earned the houses through events and logins, got the pet morphs that I wanted, and that kind of thing. I bought the Dragon's Hoard furnishing because I wasn't playing when it first showed up, but mostly just sit on Trade Bars because there's nothing to spend them on that I either want or don't already have. I've spent a few bars on "Bags of Yesteryear" and the like, but those aren't usually curated, so there's a point of diminishing returns where I'm either spending bars just to be spending bars or accumulating bars just to admire my growing collection of them.

Agree with the OP. Have oodles of trade bars and nothing to spend them on. But then I have been playing for a long time.

Would be nice to have more for those that have been here a while.

I'm in the opposite boat, long time player, I'm actually glad that I can get "everything" (other than consumables and housing items that are not limited in purchase quantity), and I'm not always chasing getting new trade bars just to buy something I don't have. With trade bars being an unlimited currency (unlike event tickets were), can keep stacking them up for the next season/event.

I don't know why we even need this currency, or how we acquire them except with Tome points. And seals of endeavor, that the only way I see to acquire is to get them with Tome points, too. And Tome points that I mostly only want to use to get the other currencies.

Just give us one currency and call it a day.

Trade Bars replaced Event Tickets. 100 Trade Bars = 1 Event Ticket. You get Trade Bars from the same sources you used to receive event tickets.

Trade Bars replaced Event Tickets, they do not have a tiny limit of 12, and they can be acquired via:
- events
- Veterancy
- Tamriel Tome
- Twitch drops

Personally i think it is useful to have different currencies so you can purchase items from one place without needing to worry about not having enough currency for items from another place.
Like Mythic leads from Infinite Archive and items from Crown Crates.
As your one currency would be for replacing everything including Crowns, Seals, Archival Fortunes, Trade Bars, Gold, Alliance Points.

i like going to infinite Archive occasionally and having enough Fortunes to spend whenever there are things i want from Filer Ool.
if there was only one currency for everything that would not be possible

They could but they won't because you can earn trade bars from events and with seals you can't do that, so if they combined them they would have to change how you earn them most likely and that would definitely anger the community.

That's true, but they'll never make seals easier to get when it relates to the crown store. I hear they used to be a lot easier to get before the tome update? But the incentive will always be for you to buy crowns or ESO+ instead, seals just exist for the legal compliance of "Well you can buy it with in game currency", whether they want to make getting that currency easy or hard is completely up to ZOS management or whoever is in charge of the crown store

I hope this time I am wrong and they end up coming to some kind of compromise maybe like how LOTRO does it and you can earn the shop currency through grinding achievements

Seals seemed easier to get because you could see them all listed as rewards on the old daily/weekly endeavours. As someone pointed out the last time we had this conversation, the total you can purchase from tomes is about the same or slightly more than from old endeavours over the same number of weeks, but they don't crop up on every tome page so it seems to take longer. I feel like it's actually more work though?

I never got to do the old endeavor system, I came in right before U49, so I can't comment on the difference, but I can definitely see how the Tomes feel like it's a lot more work, you're not doing an endeavor and then getting seals, you're doing the challenges and then you have to go through the tome, and buy what you want. But at least in this season I feel like the challenges are a lot more dynamic, I can max them out just from playing the game, whereas season zero it felt like I had to go out of my way to do them
