Side note: I wish we could send companions off to collect our Crafting Survey Maps for us. Even if we only got 50% of the resource yield for doing so, it would save so much time

Definitely not that many. I burned through a hundred or a bit more during Zeal for extra coffers (the "bit more" was Provisioning in a failed attempt to work around having to buy Roe), plus sent some extras off to a buddy so they could do the same. Probably back up to a few dozen, with a dozen-ish opened and undone while checking whether there was an XP difference between purple and gold writs. Needed identical writs for the comparison and there is no XP difference, btw.

EDIT: correction (because learning to read is apparently still on my bucket list). I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 500 (70-75 of each?) stockpiled at the moment. I mostly use them as a list-minute thing to finish the occasional harvesting challenge, but mats supplies are plentiful enough that there is no crying rush to clear out any. For my alt account? Maybe a half-dozen because that one needs lower-tier mats still.

I do them each week to coincide with the tome challenge reset and trader flip so I can sell stuff for the next week's requirements in my trade guild. I get about 80-100 a week from 18 characters daily writs.

I just wish we had a jewelry hireling or something. All of my other materials continue to climb (over 40k for stuff like rubedite, rubedo leather, etc.) but I barely break even with my platinum or lose platinum each week, and I don't even do jewelry master writs.

I've got 2 and a bit stacks of each unopened ones, plus the old ones I'm slowly working through. I've actually been doing them on and off since consoles got addons, so it's probably less than I've had in the past 😂

Havn't counted in a long while... but probably closing in 8k

On non eso plus accounts its the most compact method of storing these types of mats.

I usually have about 1,200 of them on my character at a time...

But I wait until I have 10+ at a location to collect the surveys to be more efficient with my time... since the biggest waste of time in collecting surveys is the run from the wayshrine to the survey, since a massive majority of the surveys are easily reset at a much shorter distance.

Same i will never manage to harvest them all. And it's insanely boring. Definitly something that need a quality of life improvement.
ZOS should give us a way to automatically harvest them. Maybe a companion passive that can retrive them in our place...

Hold Khajiit's skooma, yes? All 19 of khajiit's khajiit, as well as his one argonian with fluffy delusions, all are GM 9 trait crafters so, ... you know....

(if you cannot see the number, that is 16,144 surveys)

Khajiit does perhaps 1/3 of the surveys he gets - those are the leftovers.

Khajiit would actually have a great deal more if he had continued doing all 20 characters' crafting dailies, but around the time of when Night Market was made available, khajiit kinda stopped, and hasn't dialed it back in yet.

I keep one inventory slot’s worth of one of each survey type and in it are the ones I hate doing the most - like that Woodworking survey out in the water in Greenshade. I have maybe a dozen each. They stay there unless I need them for the Tome weekly stuff. I do all of the rest.

I do them within a few days of getting them, but I also don't get very many in the first place. I just don't bother doing writs half the time.

But, if y'all aren't using them, I'm willing to take a few off your hands... You know, to ease your burden. 😝

I get 30–40 surveys a day, and I try to do them every day except on days when I have less time to play, so sometimes I end up with surveys piled up from 2, 3, or 4 days. But I definitely don't let them pile up for more than a week (the usual maximum is 4 days).
