PvE DPS class rankings

This is my opinion but here is the rankings for best class for PvE. Want to hear yours.

1. Arcanist
2. Sorc
3. DK
4. Templar
5. Warden
6. Nightblade
7. Necro

Arcanist is still PvE king both as pure class and subclassing by far. Extremely easy to use, reliable rotation l, damage shield and aoe damage with the spammable. Any class can add harold of the tome skill lines and improve dps

Necro is the worse. One of the more difficult rotations, bad sustain as a pure class and no one uses any necro skill lines when subclassing unless they are a necro and forced to keep one of their lines.

Only reason nightblades aren’t the worst is cause the assassination skill line has some of the best passives for a dps. If it wasn’t for that skill line this class would be garbage for PvE. Single target damage in PvE is pretty much useless, and the pure NB parses look like the target needs to be stationary which is never the case in newer content, making the pure class even more useless.

Whether it is in PvE or PvP Necro has been the worst class for five years.

And we got heavily insulted last winter when we were told that we were last on the class refresh list. And we the current situation at ZOS, if they keep the same order, then the class won’t be refreshed before 2028, if not 2029.

This is the main reason why I left the game, and that class refresh order is completely wrong because strongest classes are being refreshed first and weaker ones are refreshed last. Unplayable game for me.

    pveendgame pov
    1. bash necro
    2. werewolf
    3. arcanist
    4. nb
    5. necro
    6. supclass
    7. warden
    8. templar
    9. dk
    10. sorc
necro have difficult rotations but have highest aoe cleave and high single dmg
arcanist still is easy and good pve class
nb/werewolf/sorc is single dmg class, have different advantages
sorc/dk most time still is sup dd role in endgame
sorc need IA set and stationary boss to do good dmg
    xm6ozg1s9ofq.png
necro/IA sorc is only 2 class need combat to be stationary, boss move is big dps loss for necro
    5ykbbiq80qr1.png
the arcanist and nb good for bursts dmg,so short combat like parse/0p vcr+3/as+2 most is this 2 class ,so scorepush all is this 2 class and werewolf/necro
    ccl95em4q0fb.png
templar and warden not bad,but not have advantages too
them more is new healer meta with arcanist
sublcass still only arcanist/nb/any dps line can work

Necromancer is good in PvE and PvP it’s just hard to play.

Back when we had stalking blastbone it was ok, but since it's removal we lost a lot of damage.

Let's do one with both PvE and PvP. So everyone came after my Warden. We can't have any of its Ultimates, it's Class Passives or Arctic Wind self healing. We can't have Shattered Path and people think the Class Set is too much after gutting that. We can't have the Warden Charm. Let's just add it all up and tell the truth, "We can't have any Wardens". You tell me. What in the hell is it you think we should be playing then? Clearly it's not my Warden. No one should be able to exploit its skill lines by Subclassing them which is the same thing as cherry ppicking. I saw and killed a DK in BG BTW that was using resolve and Blue Betty. With one of the absolute worst dps in the game. Signed a Warden Main

This is so not true. It is plenty clunky and bugged though and that’s where it could use improvements the most. I tried to pick it up a number of times but it’s just unpleasant to play for me personally.

Woo! All the things I like thematically are at the bottom! Unless you count werewolf, since while that's not a class it does play like one, but PvPers are working hard to drive werewolf down to the bottom on PvE as well.

there you have it Arc is still king regardless of eso logs :) with eso logs we have broken classes and a nearly broken game now
but even through all the brokeness Arc has held its own weight as king (or queen) of the classes

    For me:
    1. Templar. The way my build is, she's solid damage....for now.
    2. Dragonknight. I love my DK, especially since the rework. Nothing more satisfying that breathing fire on your enemies.
    3. Arcanist.
    4. Sorc. Used to love my lighting sorc, but haven't played her in awhile.
    5. Warden. - Solid, but boring.
    6. Nightblade. I just reworked her for the new Thieves questline, so she's more of a passive sneak.
    7. Necro - waaaaaaah, I miss my awesome Necro Vamp the way she used to kick A...

These are just how I play. I do like the new WW, but quit doing dungeons so out in PvE land it's kind of boring unless you're doing an event or public dungeon.

It heavily depends on the content and the purpose of the raid team. If the team is not focusing on score pushing or fast strategies. My rankings would be this.

    1. Arcanist
Shield beam and easier use for area damage. If your raid team stacks Arcanist damage dealers, tanks also do not need to stack adds in a certain location, they just need to be inline for beaming.
    2. Necromancer
Can have higher health pool, does require specific set for great area damage potential though.
    3. Nightblade
Can have high single target damage, a little bit different to play compared to other options but requires near perfect light attack weaving.

    4. Sorcerer
    5. Dragonknight
I have never played these classes as full damage dealer. They are mostly played for support role. Like Z'en and Alkosh for Dragonknight or Martial Knowledge for Sorcerer. Nowadays Sorcerer can also bring Calculated Defense class passive if there is no Sorcerer tank in the group.

    6. Templar
    7. Warden
These two classes can surely be played as damage dealer to perform enough but i do not like the rotations and themes around them.

If you are doing dungeons as damage dealer. I would say similar.

    1. Arcanist
    2. Nightblade

For dungeons in my opinion Necromancer's rotation just does not worth. Nightblade and Arcanist can have insane burst to nuke down majority of the dungeon bosses or this burst potential can allow skipping some mechanics.
