Please for the love all that is holy, make it automatically swap out scripts for scribing abilities. I am tired of my tank/healed/pvp characters needing to swap every scribing skill every time I need to swap up roles or game modes.

At this point I am wasting more time managing my skills than I am trying to get into queue.

This always seemed a strange "oversight" (I'm being kind). It stands out even more looking at the timeline.

    Update 32: Armory System
Update 42: Scribing - Not saved in Armory
    Update 46: Sub-classing - Saved in Armory
    Update 49: In-menu free respec
Update 50: Class Masteries - Saved in Armory

Gonna have to +1 this, unless we’re looking at an overhaul of Scribing into what it always should have been… Spellcrafting… we need something.

It’s not an oversight. It’s the result of it needing more work on the backend and ZOS never having managed to work that into scope. The skills saved in the Armory use a 1:1 skillID system, but Scribing uses more than just skillID. There is no way for the Armory to determine a full combination of scripts (or even just a particular Focus script in some cases) from the skillID alone.

That’s how you can end up with “Chilling Explosion” doing flame or frost damage in CMX.

Another poster provided more info about the way the info is stored in the last post here:

    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/671796/scribing-skills-still-not-saving-in-armory-station-great-thing-to-include-in-the-qol-patch

Class Masteries should go by the same skillID system as non-Scribed abilities and wouldn’t have needed the extra work here.

While ZOS said a long time ago that they were going to look into adding Scribing skills to the Armory, I don’t know if the massive reduction in force pushes that further out of scope now or whether they’ll be focusing on more QoL things since new content is now much harder to produce.

Considering the amount of Luminous Ink available I don't think this one is a must have.

It's not about the materials... It's about convenience. Armory should be this one click build swap thing. It kinda defeats the purpose if you need to go to a scribing altar and manually change stuff every time after switching setups. I mean armory covers all aspects of a build, except this, which makes it seem like a consistency issue. There is no in-game reason why it shouldn't exist. The backend stuff can certainly explain why it didn't happen, but it doesn't mean it shouldn't happen. Add it to the ever-growing list of QOL improvement ideas.
