I understand food or potions that change stats - but this seems stupid and a huge disadvantage - why would i choose vengeance over normal if i have a lot of scrolls and such a ap disadvantage....

You can use AP and XP scrolls and potions in Vengeance, unless they changed something since yesterday.

Edit: I am aware that some people using the Gamepad UI can't see the quickslot items. There are workarounds (on PC at least) if that is the issue.

    You can use them.

When you open your inventory, it’ll be specifically the vengeance inventory. You need to go to the next tab over which is going to be your standard inventory and that’s where you’ll be able to use them. It’s set up like in the standard inventory screen. If you’re going over to the next tab being your armor or weapons or whatever.

A big problem with using the tortes though is that you do not have the provisioning passes, so they will not get any extension past the 30 minutes

That's a bug on the gamepad UI. It doesn't seem to affect everyone, but it is there.

If you are on PC, go to Settings -> Gameplay -> Gamepad and turn it to off. You will then have the keyboard UI for your inventory and they should be accessible.

Alternatively, and somewhat annoying, leave Cyrodiil. Use them, then re-enter Vengeance. While annoying the advantage of doing it this way if your AP and XP are food/drink rather than scrolls is you'll get the extended buff times from the crafting passives. You don't get those in Vengeance.

Some people using the Gamepad UI don't have access to the standard inventory or the quickslot inventory. Seems to be a weird bug based on whether you login with a controller already active.

I don't, and if I switch to Gamepad mode I can access them. I have friends who login with controllers and they can't access them.

Oh, wow, I never thought of this! I get a really nice extension buff on my PCEU main because he's a Redguard.
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!
