I understand the frustration here, especially from @ZOS_Kevin , he's simply the messenger here . theres a limit to what to expect, what he dont know he cannot say!!

Remember the Layoffs are not over YET, some unfortunates across the Microsoft World are on the chopping block AFTER they finish what they are doing!!

Not exactly an incentive to get it done Quick, So we could at least cut them some slack

    Just saying like!!

More information on future refreshes would be appreciated . As I am a Templar I am not happy to wait a year.

Good news it won’t be a year. Bad news it’ll be 2 or 3 years.

Then I guess I'm looking for a new game. I have already spent the money I would have used for ESO sub on a 6 month sub from another game that shall remain nameless. A game that has managed to hold people's interest for 22 years.

Hoping for few more come soon. It could have been ESO for the next 10 years.

I would like to know why they don't confirm whether the warden refresh will be there or not in the pts

The sad thing is, communication drastically improved this year.

Now we’re back to the worst times from some years ago when they’ve told us nothing.

We just launching this thing blind? No one can organize a livestream or even a pre-recorded features walkthrough?

Kevin has confirmed there will be no stream coming.

No, there will not be a stream this time. However, we are looking to resume streams soon.

We'll have PTS Patch Notes on Update 51 on Monday.

At this point though, we saw them talk about all the upcoming features on the last two DevChat streams, so we’re not completely blind.

…well, there’s one thing set for U51 that hasn’t gotten a single mention yet. Which is why so many people are openly wondering whether Warden’s refresh will be included or not.

We‘re approaching Schroedinger‘s Warden Refresh at this point.

Ahh, but if we run that experiment through the lens of 10 different forum streamer's opinions, will it change the outcome?

Very disappointed in the lack of communication about the warden refresh. Either way whatever happens now my opinion of this game is permanently damaged.

Can anyone make me understand why they would choose to silence the warden refresh whether or not it is included in u51

If it was still coming with no changes, they could say that.

If it was potentially or definitely being delayed, they may want to be certain it has to be delayed or see if it could somehow happen in time, or wait until they have more info about the new plan announcing that.

Given that staff have been let go, it makes sense there may be a delay. Personally I get why people want info, but I don't think anyone's entitled to it, even as a customer.

I don't see any evidence to suggest there isn't a good reason to delay a class refresh update. It's obviously something people want to know and that they had announced previously, sometimes plans change at any company, let alone one with so many changes recently.

The pts was scheduled for July 13th and the warden would have been present, the layoffs occurred in early July and the warden should have been ready by then so after a month of postponements I don't see why he shouldn't be ready

Problem is that PTS was supposed to drop on July 6, which was the same day as the layoffs. And since the PTS needs to be uploaded before players have access to it, that means the patch would probably need to have been finished by that weekend, but that was a holiday weekend in the US so it likely would have needed to finish by the 2nd. So it should have been done before the layoffs. And the delay happened before the layoffs.

The fact that they delayed the PTS even before the layoffs were announced meant that something wasn't finished. And everything that U51 would contain had been shown off in a relatively complete form in the two DevChat streams prior... but we got no word at all on Warden. And to add to that, we did get a news article referencing the thought process behind the DK refresh a month before U49 landed on PTS, and the new Werewolf model was shown off in a concept art a month before U50 went to PTS, and yet a month before U51 went on PTS there was still nothing on Warden at all.

U51 should have been mostly complete by the time the layoffs hit, so the only effect the layoffs would have is a layer of polish. If Warden isn't done - and keeping it this secret and doing so much gymnastics to avoid talking about it are really suspicious - it means that there were bigger problems getting it done than the layoffs. It was delayed before the layoffs hit, and now the Class Refreshes will be even further delayed.

The game is in a really bad balance state with only 1.5 Classes refreshed. Two years is already way too long for players to have to wait to get their characters balanced, and that's already assuming no delays. And don't forget - no new combat anything is possible (e.g. new Classes or new Weapons or Skill Lines or whatever) until the refreshes are done. It's already been 3 years since we last got a new Class, and other MMOs are showing off theirs (and that's about the best way to get an influx of players is to give them a new Class)

Honestly, if they're not going to be able to stick to the Class Refresh schedule, the best option would be to revert all of the Combat stuff back to U45 and then just go from there. The Refreshes and Mastery are only here because of the balance disaster that Subclassing unleashed. Of course U45 wasn't balanced either, but it was a heck of a lot closer to balance than any patch we've had since.
(yeah, I know, it ain't gonna happen)

That's the harsh truth that many people won't want to hear. The game's combat and balance is completely cooked right now. Subclassing was added with zero foresight, zero consideration for balance, and with complete disregard for eso as a PVP/PVE game of any seriousness. They destroyed the entire system the game's combat was built upon without a second thought, and for what? Only to have to jump through hoops with these reworks and mastery passives to try and undo the damage dealt by subclassing. I honestly believe the only thought that went into subclassing was "think of how many more skill styles and skyshards we can sell!".

Genuinely, if they cannot deliver reworks of the same caliber as the DK rework both mechanically and visually on the same timeline initially shared, the project should be worked on in the background and the dk/ww reworks should be rolled back until its finished. Wish they'd undo subclassing altogether, but that would never happen.

I'm convinced they are trying to rapidly downsize the amount of work needed on each class refreshes going forward. Warden is probably between half and mostly done, but I'm thinking they are and scaling back on it to not make the sorcerer and less done classes look bad. Either that, or there is a huge snare they can't figure out with warden (maybe the bear?) and what they want to do isn't feasible, so it's stuck on the back burner since they have so few resources to devote to it now.

I unfortunately don't think any future updates will look as good as the dragon knight, and the remaining will get less and less each cycle.

I'm still super-glad that the antiquities thing to make lead drop rates easier isn't cut. For me, because I'm in the middle of codex-hunting, that was the most significant thing.
