Playing the game when a masterfully designed mob with carefully considered statistics one-shots me: Master
Going around, by default: Seasoned (at least mobs can kill me if I'm just standing around and they spawn, Adventurer difficulty means that mobs are literally unable to kill you)
I switch to whatever mode I need for achievements, etc.
used Vestige for the "Vestige of" title and still using Seasoned for achievements.
When i finish the achievements i will likely use Adventurer

I switch to whatever mode I need for achievements, etc.
It depends on what I'm after. If I'm farming for resources or loot drops, I just want to go fast, so Adventurer. Otherwise it's whatever the achievements require.
I said I wouldn't do it, but it's good practice for PvP. When I'm firing siege, I treat everything moving as an NPC anyway. Only problem is when they get close to me. Then I better roll. I better block. I don't want to be a broken clock.
I switch to whatever mode I need for achievements, etc.
It varies, but not so much for achievements.
Seasoned as the base difficulty for farming mats/collecting treasure maps and antiquities.
Vestige for questing on my main. Seasoned for questing on my RP-only alts, upped to Vestige for bosses, then lowered to Master if I keep getting one-shot.
For soloing world bosses, Adventurer/Seasoned for alts, Seasoned/Master for my main (depending on specific boss difficulty and whether I am doing them for fun or for a daily). I would like to work up to doing these on Vestige occasionally, but so far I have been unsuccessful.
Vestige for busy incursions/DEs.
Despite having been playing almost exclusively on higher difficulties since the system was added, I still have a fair way to go on the enemy killing achievements. The others are all done. I will continue to use higher difficulties regardless because I use them for fun, not rewards. Adventurer is boring to me.
No incentive to play on anything else really. Whatever I'm doing in overland, be it getting skyshards, lorebooks, surveys, treasure maps, I want it over with as quickly as possible so I can go back to everything else I do.
I primarily do Seasoned, but I do change it if I need an achievement or if I'm doing some power-leveling. (I do Vestige for Alik'r dolmens for the tasty extra XP!)

I had actually assumed I'd be in a tiny minority group playing on "Adventurer", but that that doesn't be the case. Interesting for sure.
Well, this poll doesn't have enough votes yet to draw a conclusion. But, the people using difficulty sliders because they want to rather than just for achievements are split into three different buckets.
If we group the "just for achievements," crowd with the "adventurer," crowd then we're looking at 42% who are voting that adventurer is their way of playing and 58% voting for one of the difficulty levels.
But the truth may be more nuanced that because some of the just for achievements crowd may not have made up their mind what they want to do. And some of the people selecting any of the difficulty levels or adventurer may not actually spend all their time in that and may be just voting based off a particular activity. For example, I chose Vestige because it's what I use when questing or exploring. But I'm probably on adventurer more often just because I've done so much of the questing already and I don't turn it on for grabbing materials from surveys.
I play on Seasoned and Master, but if I need to kill a world boss like Limbscather, I'll swap to Adventurer to do it quickly, if I don't manage to beat it on the others first.

I never thought id do anything with the difficulty modes but its more fun than I thought itd be. Different adds feel like they have actual scale now. Mudcrabs still die in a few hits, people are around vet dungeon trash difficulty, and i actually have to think about which world bosses I approach or im toast lol.
I switch to whatever mode I need for achievements, etc.
I now wish I could change my answer as it seems people are interpreting the last option as meaning you use higher difficulties specifically for achievements/rewards. Sadly there was no other option to indicate you use multiple difficulties, but I guess I would now change to Master to indicate what I might "average out" to. Anyway, I do believe there should have been a "more than one difficulty" option, and I expect this would have been the most popular answer.

I do my daily business in Adventurer. For achievements, I switch to any needed mode. For story quests I prefer Master now. Vestige is too difficult for my non defensive build.
My tank brother plays everything we do together on Vestige though, so I think a more semi-defensive build can survive it and still do some damage.
