Is there any way to turn off players sound effects for weapons?

These new weapons from the new tome has a sound effect that is just too much over the top. And of course people love to spam that sound in areas where there are lots of other players. It's annoying me so much I can hardly be in those areas anymore. Is there any way we can turn those sound effects off without impacting other sounds? If now, can we please get a way to do it?

The weapons, the recalls, the mounts. There are many things that are distracting. I have the music down, but the ambiance up because I like the background sounds. Trying to lower the effects bar in the Audio in Settings. Only downside is you have to change this each log in because it doesn't save. At least on xbox.

This is what we know so far. We know the overwhelming effects are on their radar, but I doubt we'll get anything meaningful beyond the screenshot below, anytime soon.

I'm going to have to jump on this bandwagon, I think. I reoutfitted my Nightblade yesterday with the Charming Rogue style (I like it, but it needs dyes I haven't farmed yet; more things for the to-do list) and tried out the Daring Rogue Daggers while I was at the station since the Tome change-over will force them on me anyway. It took about 15 seconds to go back to the Outfit station and spend more gold to get rid of them. They're not only bothersome on other players, they're bothersome on my own characters. Cool visual, but "one-star, would not recommend" for the audio.

Another example of visuals and sound effects being forced on all players, whether we want them or not. I thought a toggle was being worked on so players could turn these things off, or at least way down. Is this still being planned?
