I had to freaking go into the file folder where the installer is launched, uninstall the launcher and the entire game, and now i am reinstalling the entire game from scratch, to be followed by all the addons i have.

Why? Cos the launcher update would not move an inch. and yes, i temporarily disabled my antivirus/firewall, to no effect.

Come on, ZOS - i know y'all are extremely worried and demoralized after the head honcho at XBOX showed her delusional side and laid off a good chunk of your team and promised more will follow this time next year (and is just another symptom of a growing elephant in the room which, left unchecked, will end with disastrous consequences for not just games, but for tech in general - but i digress), but don't let her bully you into pushing out stuff that is half-baked/half-tested. And also push back on ideas you know the community will hate (there is a reason some people are enamored by Vengeance, and lack of item sets is that reason. Even though i think shoving Vengeance in our faces can, has, and will backfire spectacularly, but i again digress).
