Nowhere(to be found) keys

I didn't see anything in today's patch notes about this, is it a bug or is the drop rate intentionally this low? I still haven't had a single key. I'm not sure there's any point in engaging with this content further for now, feels like I'm just wasting my time.

People are reporting higher drop rates today. Did this get addressed, but not documented in the patch notes?

I saw no change. Who is seeing the higher drop rate, where do they play and what are they doing?

It is actually 10K total tome points for finding all 10 keys. You receive 1K per key found.

The keys will drop from the turning in day 10 freerunner favors, dropping with the chest but not in the chest for the 10th day favor a character has done for each of the 3 freerunner boards, and this is meant to also happening on the day 20 you do these favors for a specific toon as well.

I dont know whether this is per account or per character , i will find this out tomorow when another of my toons reaches his day 10 of doing the favors consecutively for the 3 boards- hoping for another 3 keys then. There seem to be conflicting reports as to this.

You can track how many of the 3 freerunner favor dailies a character has done by looking at lore libary correspondence to see each toons progress via the unigue mails that drop for each of these , ie 1 toon may show 12,12,12, and another 8,8,9 etc depending on how many they have done for each of the boards. Hope this helps.

No, they should be archived in your Quest Journal, Lore Library, Correspondence. There are three separate headings there-- Battlereeve Urcelmo, Holgunn One-Eye, and Lady Arabelle Davaux-- and each has a number beside it to indicate how many of them you've received. If you want to read them, you can, but in this case the numbers shown might be all you care about.

I can confirm that these seem to be a guaranteed drop from your 10th Favor for a particular noble. I just did Favor number 10 for Lady Arabelle Davaux and got an Unformed Planar Key. I won't get one from the other two nobles until tomorrow and two dags after that, since I didn't start out doing all three Favors every day, but sort of staggered them-- 1 on day 1, 2 on days 2 and 3, and 3 on day 4 and every day after that.

I can confirm the keys drop for 10th day of favors handed in per toon not per account , having got my second set of 3 keys from handing in 3 Day 10 favors to the 3 boards today on a second toon.

I got all 10 for challenge pretty quickly. They just show up in the challenge notes. Nothing physical in inventory. I got them frome safe boxes, thieves troves and Chests. I have gotten 5 unformed planar keys in my inventory. Conversely, my wife has gotten none.

I have 3 keys from the Favour quests, but my Season Challenge is showing I've had 5. There are two given as part of the Thieves quest, but they didn't count previously. Did the last update retroactively change this?

Done the new Thieves guild questline, and so far have not found a single key. I've done 10+ Freerunner quests and looted countless Thieves troves and treasure chests, both open world and buried with maps.

I've reached the point where I believe nothing the devs say in live streams - it's all just so much noise, but no facts at all.

I haven't even gotten the key that supposedly shows up for finishing the quest. It's been days. And I have been grinding chests, lock boxes and troves. I have been doing the freerunner things as well, but for that I can only do them on one toon. The daily markers vanish after I do the quests on my main.

For each toon that does 20 days of the 3 freerunner quest boards you will get 6 unformed planar keys that count as Nowhere keys for the tomes, do 20 days of favors on 2 toons ie 6 a day, and u will have 12 keys , no need to grinding anything, no rng involved , just methodical 3 quests per 2 toons for 20 days and you are done. It takes about 40min max a day if u have to wait for delve or world bosses etc but usually shorter.

Sounds like grinding to me. Spend near and hour doing the same quest every day for nearly a month to get a item that is not supposed to be rare.

I start to be really mad about this keys. No drops and countless hours making the things that are required to have them. I dont want to do this things (spend the entire playing session finding the keys) in my playtime in order to get them but 0 drops. I guess Im out of this season thing and idc abbout thse 89 days left. Im really mad about the drop and the time I lost finding them.

Perhaps the development team believed that engaging players meant endless grinds? When a game has been around for a decade and the team dedicates content to large guilds and groups, it might be difficult to keep the interests of those that have already done everything at least once on 10 characters. However, when the drop rates are this low, players do not engage, they abandon. When drop rate is dependent on repetition of limited actions, fatigue sets in and players abandon. The frustration regarding feeling like I am not progressing but rather chasing my own tail has caused me to play other games currently. I just can't play a game that adds more stress than it relieves.

I am a bit tetchy about the grinding/farming in the game because the game allows third-party add-ons that shows a player where each resource is located. That should break the competitive rule that states Add-ons cannot provide a competitive advantage but it doesn't because the team only considers group play competition.
