Khajiit Bookcase, Short Arched Breaks Book Interactability

The Khajiit Bookcase, Short Arched furnishing is now breaking the interactability of readable books placed in the bookcase. As soon as a book is placed in the bookcase you can no longer interact with, and read, that book. This bug seems to have appeared around the same time as the accidental patch from about a week ago.

I have some books in that bookcase and will have to check, but I remembered that I had to have them sticking out of the front a bit more than the way you have them to get the interact prompt to come up.

I appreciate you checking on this. I've tried all kinds of positions and cannot get the books working anymore (they did up until about a week ago). I look forward to your findings!

I looked and my books can be read but I have them sticking about halfway out of the front of the bookcase. I placed them a long time ago, but I remember I got the minimum amount outside when I did it. I also had to rotate the books so that the spines were up to be able to get them to fit. Are you sure you were able to interact with them before? It’s usually the case that if something is inside the edges of another object that it cannot even be clicked on with the housing editor, it has to be retrieved.

I took a snapshot but I will have to get it off the PS5 and onto the computer to add it.

EDIT: added image. also I should note more specifically that this is how it has always worked for me so I don't think it is a bug per se

I'll jump in and confirm that this is an issue for me, as well. I hadn't considered turning them spine-up as a work around and just tried to place them like they would be in any real world bookcase. Once they go in, they are not interactable. This is the case for both the purple Arched and blue Short Arched bookcases, btw. The shelf spacing is the same for both.

These empty bookcases give me a lot of heartburn. The shelves are too short on almost all of them. I think it is the Breton bookcases that are tall enough to place books normally but you have to sink them down in the shelf a bit. I usually buy the Crown rows of books to put in there, but even those don’t fit much of the time though at least it’s fewer slots. I really like the ones that are already filled, there just aren’t enough free slots in most houses to even put real books in the empty ones.
