...or at least an alt equipment holder. As a sorc, I have a tank setup and an emergency healer setup. It would be nice to at least mark some equip so I don't accidentally sell it.
At first, was gonna say, alt specs, is what the second hotbar and respecs are for, but what you really want is to tag your inventory so that you can quickly identify/sort your gear for those specs.
There's some add-ons at Esoui that helps mark things so you don't accidentally delete them, I believe "Item Saver" is the one. You might also try the Outfitter add-on. I haven't used it, so not sure if the Outfitter marks items as used for different builds or not.
Eventually they will have housing (I think I've read that), when they do, you can put stuff in that.
They might even give us weapon ranks and clothes dummies ala Skyrim.

If you don't mind mods just want to be able to mark gear and change equipment and skills easily these are what i use: http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info364-ItemSaverModified.html Lets you mark items that you want to keep though it can't actually stop you from selling or destroying something if you decide to ignore it.
Yup itemsaver and outfitter will do what you need.
Outfitter is also a great way to queue up skills you are wanting to level so you can swap to them right before doing a quest turn in, rather than wasting xp on skills that are maxxed.
