I accidentally consumed a Bitten Chew Bone today, after I earned and consumed my 10th yesterday.
For all other fragments, once you earn the top reward, they're locked from being consumed (and are able to be sold).

Is this a bug?

    i assume so, just like how the collectibles in the IA could continue to drop after you maxed out those and they couldnt be sold

    just for the heck of it i stored all those extras in my bank and i have upwards 20 of most of those lol, cant use or sell either lol

    i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (fully filled out with current game), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

    in progress: acquiring mundus stones (currently only have the thief)

    I came to post the same thing today, wish I'd read this before, sigh. I tried to eat the stone shard but it wouldn't let me, said I'd already maxed that achievement so I assumed the chew bone would give the same notification when I went to eat it, but it didn't.
