Bound Armaments or Haunting Curse as a Magicka Sorc PVP. Which is better for 1vX BG?

I'm running below build so I don't need a source of Major Prophecy. I'm just not sure what is going to be better for PvP. I have been enjoying bound armaments though but I use haunting curse for PVE.

Agreed with @Inigo you can lose magelight. Bound Armaments gives you Major Prophecy (on both bars!!) and steak works well enough for anti-stealth. Ez upgrade.

    Personally, I wouldn’t slot either.

As others have said, I’d get rid of Magelight and instead slot Mages Wrath; this gives you a skill with an execute proc. In the other slot I’d equip Shattering Spines. This way you’re equipping both a hard CC skill and a soft CC skill, which, can scale to pretty decent damage if the target was effected.

The additional CC can give you more of an upper hand in PvP fights. IMO I’m not the biggest fan of Bound Armaments in PvP, especially 1vX scenarios. I find the skill is more successful when you’re running with a coordinated group. Bound Armaments takes 1.2 seconds to fully execute the function which often sees most of it blocked. As for Curse, some players may not realize that since it’s a delayed burst that it’s cleanseable, which makes it easy to mitigate; and lots of players in PvP run with self a cleanse. Further, basically anyone that can count to 3 & 8 can just heal through it. It’s another pressure skill that I find works better in coordinated groups rather than 1vX situations.

In those scenarios versatility from multiple forms of CC and a bona fide execute skill can help give you more control over the combat. Mages Wrath is a bit trickier post-nerf but, with a proper setup of Mages Wrath + the bonus proc of Frags + Power Overload weave and they’re most likely going right into the execute proc.
