Yup. It’s just I’m 100+ DEs deep and still hasn’t dropped. Really don’t think this is the RNG they were going for.

Also, there is something iffy with the Nowhere keys that, according to devs, were not supposed to be rare. It's like that lock on the Yvierry Estate gate: now it's here, now it's there, now it's nowhere.

Agreed. They said they wanted keys to be not as rare as people not having them often, but not as common to think “why do I have so many of these”. That statement does not match our experience at all

I'm actually surprised there's no information about that recipe. Personally, I've given up on dynamic encounters because right now they're just a complete waste of time.
Because the only thing I want Its just the recipe. But either the drop rate is ridiculously low or it’s a bug—so if it’s a bug, I’ll wait for it to be fixed, and if it’s “intended,” then it’s complete nonsense, and whoever came up with such a low drop rate should probably seek help...

So someone in the zone today on Xbox linked the recipe. Turns out, they were trolling and linked it by typing item ID, which I didn’t even know was possible.

Additionally, that same person stated they got not 1 but 3 agility gems. And sold/gave away 2 of them. As far as I know, gems are bound so that sounds like trolling too.

But, regardless, to give @ZOS_Kevin an update, I’m now at 190 DEs and 0 recipe, 0 agility gem, 0 nowhere key. On the plus side, I made a million selling all the style pages that indeed are dropping, albeit every 10-15 DEs.

They are confusing them with the Nowhere keys from the quest. I also got 2 Nowhere keys after pickpocketing the aforementioned guy: one stolen version and one "clean" one. It all got sorted out later during the quest, and both were removed.

I was hoping that recipe would have a reasonable drop rate and that I’d be able to learn it for both my main and alt characters, yknow.
So far, it’s been a huge disappointment—not just because it’s probably (because who knows...) as rare as Chef Arquitius’s Lost Thesis, but also because there’s been no statement from the devs. Kevin wrote that he’d pass it on to the devs on Monday, so one would hope for at least a short sentence from him, something like “the devs will look into it, and as soon as I know more, I’ll provide further details” or “everything is as intended—this recipe will have a 0.001% players; it’s rare as ***,” but there’s been complete silence from him—that’s an even bigger disappointment...

Tbh I agree. If we at least got confirmation that it’s either unobtainable or obtainable, and if so, that there’s at least plans of adjustment. Same for agility gem. That one really shouldn’t be as low of a drop as it is, either.

I do remember reading that in the next Whitestrakes Mayhem, the super rare white-gold war torte recipe will have a chance of dropping in the reward boxes. Maybe the Granny recipe will also drop if it's meant to be this rare?

Well, considering that the eel pie is supposedly an encounter drop, war torte is basically a PvP drop, and Mayhem is a PvP event, I don't think the eel pie will drop from those boxes.

Yea I don’t think PvP event will be dropping non pvp content just because the rng is the only correlation.

Since they said they will look at this, assumption is the code that determines rng for granny eel recipe is wrong, otherwise, why would they need to look at it

Just want to update, I just got agility gem. Wow, 196 DEs. That is awful. @ZOS_Kevin the code should really need a look at.

In addition, granny eel recipe still appears to elude all humans, elf’s, orc, argonians etc. on all platforms.

You’ve got some serious patience. I was actually planning to farm those Style Pages myself, but when I saw that not a single page had dropped even after 10 encounters, I was like, “Screw this”, so, guild traders, luckily those pages are sellable. Really great design…
When I see that the gem dropped for you after 190+ encounters, well, no thanks—I don’t need to upgrade that mythic so badly that I have to spend most of my playtime on this *** show.

Yeah, Kevin also replied in the thread in the bug section. To be honest, I hadn't checked there. I'm kind of used to the general discussion forum, so sometimes it's as if the other sections don't even exist. Well, at least it'll be fixed in Monday's patch.
