Is it overkill to have 3 Night Terror, 4 Darlic Brae and 5 Mother's Embrace giving 6m detection radius buff on top of CP and class buffs? I've tried putting build into ESO build thingy but can't get it to shift from 6.5m. Ta
Huh, interesting. I wonder how accurate the build editor is.
I use exactly the build described on my Thieves Guild character, but if there is a cap on detection radius I would want to replace one of the sets with the Shadow Queen's Cowl.
Forgive my ignorance but can I assume then, given the ESO build site doesn't seem to change regardless, the fact the gear buffs to 6m, all I need is another 1m and then I can forget sneak radius? Appreciate the help as I'm not great with stats.

I just do the night terror/ mothers embrace 5 pc sets and it's plenty good enough.
Some further testing brought me to conclude 10m reduction is the best for most cases.
I tested the 6m vs 7m radius reduction thresholds and normal (non-dangerous type) enemies could still detect me when in crouch for both.
The practical threshold seems to be no less than 10m.
Different enemies also have differing amounts of stealth penetration calculated against the player’s total reductions. It was different btw Lamias vs Wasps vs World Bosses.
Not overkill to me, I run this very thing on my Khajit. I also notice on a dark elf she gets spotted in it while the khajit does not. And that;'s a very close range indeed.
