Bookcase that holds books, yes. Books are furnishings and there should be a bookcase that displays these. The bookcase could look more filled in the more books that are added, similar to how the vault in the Nights Den looks more full the more gold the player has. And clicking the bookcase should show a list of the books that are placed in it.

Players are collecting this stuff whether you see a reason for it or not. I understand that you personally don't have a use for the furnishing, which is fine - if ZOS gives us one, you don't have to use it.

Recipes and motifs are just plain items. They don't need a dedicated storage container.
