For anyone stuck like I was. I accidently found the chains to free her at her back way far away from her hands or body.

I found that the chains could be released from behind her, but the target area was ridiculously small and difficult to interact with

Anyone doing the quest should be mindful of both I guess

I also struggled with the chains. Stood behind her, looked straight down at them. After a while I turned my camera towards the cave ceiling and after some fiddling I found the right spot to interact and release her.
