I wanted to clarify my statement from yesterday's stream because I misspoke and apologize. The keys will begin dropping once Season 1 begins with the Thieves Guild launch. I got my dates mixed up with Update 50 Dropping but Season 1 not starting yet and wanted to clarify.
i am not ZOS so i cannot clarify everything, but i can with some things.allochthons wrote: »C/P and slightly edited from here.
Please communicate better for WHEN specific things go live. Even an actively updated Grid on the News page would do, with a pointer to it IN GAME. A QR code or bit.ly link would work fine.
Things I, personally, have seen confusion from people about when things are released:
Dynamic encounters available
Nowhere keys (although that was a mispeak in the dev stream, still, confusion).
Motifs dropping from heists (me, that was me.)
Glenumbra furnishing drops (this too, this was me) available
Thieves Guild Armory leads available
New Thieves guide questline available
Sheo's Mortal Day questline available
U51 starting
Season 1 starting
Zeal of Zenithar starting
Night Market ending
Nowhere Vault available
When each class update is happening. That's a huge one. Not debating or wanting to change the order, just roughly* when each will be done and in what order. Yes, there's a graphic. And that's great. How long does it take to find that graphic?
I mean, that's everything that's been scheduled for the last few months, or coming out in the next few months, right? All sources of confusion. There's great stuff in there! But people are missing things, or standing around in Auridon for an hour waiting for an encounter that won't start for a month.
I re-read the news articles multiple times on a few of those things, and still got the answers from Youtube.
The communication has vastly improved. This would improve it significantly more.
*We know it's subject to change.

Those are just confusions I've seen in my guilds, guild chat, and the two I had myself that I tracked down the answers to. I totally didn't mean to make anyone do all that work. But thank you anyway. That must have taken quite a while.
Now, I wish ZoS would do that on an easy to find website, and update it regularly.

it is fine and i did think you knew most things already, it did not take me long as i have made similar comments before since January 7.
Still thought it could be useful for other people and to i guess demonstrate what ZOS could do.

Similar to Luminous Ink. They started dropping after certain stages in the Scribing quest line
Edited for grammar.

Nah, they're supposed to be dropping fairly frequently. Jason said they aren't supposed to be rare to begin with, they want people to have a good amount of Keys saved up for when the Vault goes live.DenverRalphy wrote: »I'd speculate that these keys are supposed to be really rare at this time so that the playerbase isn't already armed to the teeth with fistfuls of keys the moment the Nowhere Vault goes live. Kevin I believe has stated this is going to be forwarded to folks tomorrow, because they aren't supposed to be this rare and they're supposed to come from all variety of activities according to what Jason said.
When they DO drop, they're called Unformed Planar Keys right now. They likely won't be called Nowhere Keys until the Vault goes live.
