missing icons on the forums.

I was gonna post a ticket but there was nothing I could select that was a option to label the ticket as a forum issue.

anyway the problem im having is next to my account name up top is missing all the icons there. not exactly missing they are completely invisible to me. the icons are like my inbox and such are invisible and I cant see them.

yeah theres been a lot of display issues on the forum lately

the icons while they are missing, the buttons are still technically there and can be clicked on but can be sometimes hard to find, some also disappear when you hover over them like threads have a mail icon but change to a gear icon when hovered but the gear icon is missing (though the button is still there)

other issues ive seen is that the "post reply" button is super wide, and the spoiler tag is super wonky

also the gear icon for editing is also missing for me.

All the icons next to my account name and the gear icon for editing are invisible to me. I can use them if I slowly move my mouse around to find the popup for 'Edit' or 'Notifications' etc.

They are aware that they are invisible and Vanilla has been notified. But Vanilla hasn't fixed this, or the year old Drafts bug, yet.

It's third party forum software, and sadly it doesn't seem like Vanilla is very interested in supporting their product. Hopefully if this continues, zos might look at other options to escalate the issue, or even changing providers, but I imagine that's complicated and not their top priority compared to work on the game itself.

I completely agree.

Letting a bug go for over a year even after being given the solution months ago doesn't show support. And this has gone on over a month now. I really wish we could be moved to a different forum provider.

they still haven't fixed this, the incompetence here is high

if u cant fix it then roll back the update and take all the time u need then to come up with a fix so u can reapply the update

One of the devs posted in an earlier missing icons thread that the forum developer (Vanilla) had told them a roll back was not an option. If ZOS have not been actively looking at alternate platforms, they probably should be - it's not like there aren't any alternatives.

Vanilla has let the Drafts page bug go on for 1 year and a month so far. The worst part is they were actually given a quick solution months ago but still haven't fixed it. That doesn't make me hopeful that they will do anything about this, either.

I really hope ZOS finds a more reliable forum provider very soon.

I doubt it will get fixed anyway. Not because of the layoffs because those won't affect Vanilla. Just because Vanilla hasn't done anything about it.
