EXPOSING Cyrodiil "mafia" - Allegedly, selling Emperor. Why I'm done with PvP/PvPers.

I'm not showing any name. As you'll see this is Ravenwatch so not happening now but a couple years ago. And this is not an ESO problem, but a PvP players' many-games-wide issue.

Here's the story and proof:

frojnv1acxy7.png

You can see here that I am Aldmeri Dominion and all the resources you see in yellow I've taken them completely solo to be sure I'd be the one on top of leaderboard and become Emperor.

I tried getting the 6 forts by myself but I always got stomped by a group of Ebonheart Pact that vehemently defended the title of Emperor.

The situation was this:

hiybnytf9n5q.png

As you see I was the first in my Alliance and at that point, seeing other Aldmeris I asked in chat to please help me to get the six forts and become Emperor - no one ever showed up.

So I kept playing... Another 6 hours of fighting to keep my position in the leaderboard, all while keep asking people to PLEASE help me with the forts to become Emperor but without any answer and getting stomped over and over by the same Ebonheart group.

y2jmldpzhhmt.png

At this point I was hungry, tired, and disappointed in seeing lots of Aldmeris playing and farming Alliance Points in circles with Daggerfall Covenants without even caring to conquer the forts; they were way more than the Ebonhearts playing at the moment.

I also felt joked around when they started responding to my requests for help "lolling" and wishing me "good luck buddy".

I gave up and gone to bed frustrated.

Then I woke up to this:

vms5un9mm4ag.png

Aldmeris got millions of Points. They surpassed me way too much to care to recover.

But wait... How were Ebonhearts going?

tnmlc5x88hgz.png

They stopped caring... They knew the Campaign was theirs.

How is it possible that the Emperor is the same while Aldmeris all got many more Alliance Points?

All Aldmeris didn't care either?

Well it's kinda weird, especially since when I pointed this out I got responded:

"Try next time, but prepare ahead ;)"

Prepare ahead...

Before anyone says "git gud" - this was a Battleground I played the same day:

twqqt6utn1sn.png

We can't name names, because it's "shaming". We can't talk about a practice against the ToS that many very well know it is going on. And this as I said is not an ESO issue, is a PvP issue that presents itself in other games, because it's not a game problem but a people problem.

If you don't think there's something fishy going on here, I don't know what to tell you; to me is "mafia-like behavior".

I HAVE NO PROOF about what currencies are being traded, if it's just gold or whatever, but in any case this seems to me a behaviour that should not be let manifested.

This is why myself and likely many others have left Cyrodiil long ago. If you look this issue up online you'll find many stories like mine.

But sure, obviously I am just a "conspiracy theorist" that just have to shut up and get censored...

I've kept this to myself for too long. Time to share <3.

Please, if you haven't left the game already and you have experienced stories like this one, don't do anything against the forum rules but let your story be heard.

People need to know, both Devs and players.

Mods, I BEG you. Let this discussion happen.

campaign overall score is completely irrelevant to who has emp

emp does give some alliance wide buffs (a lot of buff for the actual emp)

i dont know of any actual details, but i do know that there were groups who would "sell emp", just like people sell carries for trials

i believe they typically would go into a dead campaign (such as ravenwatch at the time), and then basically farm AP till the person they needed to get emp had enough and then they would just get all the emp keeps

possibly the same people would likely then switch faction if they needed to be able to keep farming AP for the person they were trying to emp (if your faction takes control of the whole map thats really bad for earning AP, but really good for AP for another faction to get AP especially if they had low pop bonus)

because the pops were so low in those camps, factions would probably frequently get low pop bonuses making it super easy for said group to farm AP

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (fully filled out with current game), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

I suspect you thought mine was a genuine question here "How is it possible that the Emperor is the same while Aldmeris all got many more Alliance Points?"

    It wasn't. It was rhetorical.
I know the emperor doesn't depend on campaign overall points.
My point was - really... You all leave the Emperor to someone else and just farm AP? All alliances act accordingly? Isn't this weird? Especially when someone of your faction asks for it and you laugh it off? And it's technically the objective of Cyrodiil as a PvP zone

    C'mon...

Personally believe that GH is the only campaign that should allow emperorship. Temporary campaigns during Midyear Mayhem/Whitestrake shouldn't have emperor either (to prevent selling/trading emp). While it doesn't solve the problem with a small group holding a Cyrodiil campaign "hostage" like you describe, it would make it a lot harder to control.

All games with PvP have some form of this issue. They launder currency so it does not appear they are "selling" anything. Cyrodiil has been abandoned. The focus is on the other PvP opportunities. Personally I think we should have a new zone and turn Cyrodiil into another PvE zone, but keep Imperial City.

I would like to see a PvP zone set in the Hunting Grounds of Hircine. Are you the predator or the prey?

This has been going on for years. AP boosting can get you banned if reported, but it's hard to prove unless you see the obvious method that shall not be described here.

That was one of the arguments for faction locking GH. The people who swapped factions repeatedly to AP were FF, and they no longer play together/have left.

GH Emp for Ad is possible now if you work with the Ad crown, who control 3 groups at a time and plays early hours of the morning when other factions sleep.

If only one campaign has emp, it makes it easier for the corruption being complained about, not harder. All those extra campaigns make it more likely that someone can get emp who otherwise would have been locked out because they can't control all the campaigns at once.

Except that's not how it works. There are reasons to why those groups only control emp on empty campaigns and never on the populated ones. It all comes down to population. The more players in a given campaing the harder it is to control the outcome of the map.

Not ruling it out, but I don't see the evidence for the conspiracy here. It's normal for people to get their friends and guildmates Emperor by playing together instead of asking for zone chat strangers to help you, who aren't organized and may not care about you. That's the planning ahead.

Except... Aldmeris didn't push for any Emperor, since the Emperor remained Ebonheart in my screenshots; but they still got loads of Alliance Points. They could have gained them helping me get the 6 forts - instead they chose to troll me and remain on the same keep. And Aldmeris were way more than Ebonhearts, so we could have easily dethroned Emperor (which I remember you, it should be the whole point of Cyrodiil), but it seems nobody wanted that outcome - nor reds nor yellows nor blues. I wonder why...

Sorry but making "800.000.000 "Alliance Points just to say "Naaah but I don't want to be Emperor" doesn't make any sense to me. Or...

I got Emperor in Icereach (under 50) campaign awhile back when it was an off time of the year November or January I think. I would solo resource bases for a few hours right after the campaign reset. Then I was lucky enough to have awesome AD players take most the keeps when I was offline and to my surprise and amazement I was still at the top and helped take aleswell and chalman. It was so awesome and amazing I still wear that title on my orc warden Zugula and sometimes other characters that never really earned it lol.

One time I almost got it again but someone PM'd me that they were helping a friend get Emperor and if I could slow down on my AP gain. I didn't mind since I already had gotten it and told them, sure thing.

I only got emp last year on my main and have been PvPing since launch, mostly because I'm a solo player but I got it with zero help and had to kill defenders to get it.
