Can we please do something about mass reporting players?

I think it's more than shocking that there are bans for communication. Thats neither good for the community and long term survival of the game nor it is economically wise to do so. If someone responsible really thinks someone was being too rude in chat (and I would be even more shocked if using the f word would be considered as too rude), the maximum penalty should be a ban for ingame communication. Account bans make players lose their accounts they possibly built over 10+ years and make ZOS lose a potentially paying customer.

If what you say here is accurate, everyone is kinda glossing over this and making out that it's a problem with pvp, but whispering back (or putting it in zone chat) what I assume to be a common expletive expressing that you want someone to leave is actually against the rules.

Your friend got banned for breaking the rules, not because they were mass reported

If it's an account ban then this is their third or fourth offence, can't remember which. I know someone who got comms banned during MYM and I think it's something like first 72h, then 1 week, then account ban.

I was reported for making a rude comment, actually much milder than most I've seen, to a char that has been harassing me repeated pelting me with mudballs in Rimmen, and now I can't gift anything to anyone.

Last Christmas I had just sold my house and had plenty of money to buy crowns. I bought 4 sets of the most expensive crown packages, almost 400.00 dollars worth and I gave it all away. To say thank you to all the people who inhabit the forum and take part in Christmas.

This year I won't be able to take part and I will be sad that I can't share my good fortune but I am now on a monthly basis and disinclined to renew beyond that one month.

I was determined not to sub but as one of the forum posters pointed out, hurting the game and not paying will only shorten the life it has left.

Instead I am moving everything to Linux.

Tyvm for the advice. It impresses my husband when I come in and tell him a good thing when he knows I have zero knowledge of anything to do with technology. I wrap my credit cards in aluminum foil and my cell phone is senior idiot flip phone.

Call of Duty is like this too. If you're too good in a match, people will mass report you and get you auto-banned. They also mass report people for inappropriate voice chat to get people VC banned even if they've never used VC before. I would hope ZOS could at least be better than Call of Duty of all things.

People who file false reports this way need their accounts actioned. Even as horrible as Reddit is, they action accounts for this type of mass reporting.

Well there are a lot of great links on YouTube that takes you step by step in learning Ubuntu...it can actually be a lot of fun...best of luck
