i never mentioned money.
Supporting ESO and ZOS definitely includes being subscribed to ESO Plus, buying items in the Crown Store, and buying Tamriel Tomes.
That is not everything and if you are not able to do it then obviously do not. But it objectively helps the game.

Also includes
- playing the game regularly.
- participating in events and new features.
- participating in PTS cycles!
- posting positive feedback, if you are on the forums you likely play ESO regularly so obviously you have something positive to say.
- streaming the game perhaps?
i do not do it but lots do and it definitely is generally helpful for engaging with the game and community.

Without the players this game would not exist, games are made to be played.
And servers, staff, websites, hardware, software, office rent, and more do all need money.

(also no i am not a shareholder of Microsoft, i do not have a stake in any company, i just like this game)

Forums are a place for negativity, not positivity. People are much more likely to complain than to compliment. There are whole fields of study on this, as forum behaviour can have real world consequence. An example of this would be forums discussing treatment for medical problems. Anyone visiting those forums would see unfavourable views, but the reality of the scientific data on effectiveness could be very different.

And not for nothing, but there are shockingly high number of posters who haven't played ESO in years.

yes i have observed that for years, i did not say that the forums are a place for positivity.

it would be pretty funny to not play a game regularly if you regularly go to its forums, most posts seem to be from actual players so that part is confusing.

i did not deny easily observable reality, i said what i believe people can do to help.

Not really. There are half a dozen or so avid posters who have stated it themselves (where do you think I got it from?!) in threads just like this over the last few days.

Yeah this would not surprise me, there are some who have seemed to be gloating over the state of the game for the last while. I often wonder if some of the suggestions are a form of trolling the devs to do things that they know will cause harm to the game since there is really no way to gauge how many players would be interested in them accurately.

I don’t really understand it myself. I had become dissatisfied with a few games before and stopped playing but never felt like I needed payback or something for it. I just left and didn’t come back. I didn’t even see the end of one I played for many years when their server shut down. I left for my own personal reasons but was sad to see it go nonetheless for all of the good times that I had there.
