Complete 8 thieves guild finder quests

I have this weekly challenge. I can do max 2 reacquisition quests a day. The challenge wants 8 quests to give me the first mission completed (200 tome points). There are 6 times the mission. Total: 8 x 6 = 48 reacquisition quests. THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE ! I could use alts... but it seems too demanding... what do you think guys?

The weekly challenges do not go away, so you you do not have to do them in one week.

Tbh with subclassing these quests have become insanely easy since anyone can just sub into shadow pick up cloak and then it's a cake walk.

Update, i did multiple reacquisition quests in daggerfall and didnt get any progress. hmm
Also theres one that asks for 8 Glenumbra Thieves Guild quests, but there are only 7 quests in the questline.

Sorry what is a thieves guild finder quest in the first place? I have the same weekly tome, have finished the new Thieves Guild main quest, have done all possible daily quests, the hist, the "find a toot" one, and still nothing, None of them counts towards progress. Can ZOS please clarify what they mean by finder quest?

They are the reacquisition quests. You can do one in Hew's Bane Thiefs Den too.

ya seems like another oversight. it should include heist and the tip board.

it can become problematic down the line if more challenges pile on and space is taken up by this specific challenge, and any repeats that take up additional challenge slots. it awards 1200 tome points total so that's a good chunk for players min-maxing tome points.

this should not potentially take an army of alts to reasonably complete. these are weekly challenges after all.

Did you do the one that has you go to Abah's Landing with Quen? That also counts as part of the Glenumbra TG quest line.

Did you do the one that has you go to Abah's Landing with Quen? That also counts as part of the Glenumbra TG quest line.

I’m guessing that one only unlocks if you’ve done the original TH quest line on that character because it refers back to that.

I have a stealth build for thieves and dark brotherhood related activities. It's easier and quicker than subclassing to get the same results.

I did a quest from the reaquisition to board in Glenumbra and it did NOT count towards my "Complete 8 Thieves Guild Finder Quests" either. I'm not convinced they are the same - why would they use different names? But I don't have any suggestions as to what it actually is either.

Just to be clear not even reaqusiton quests counted for me towards this challenge so far, so this is definetly not the case of doing the wrong type of quest. @ZOS_Kevin tagging for your attention, not sure if this is somehow related to nowhere keys also not dropping at all for some players, maybe some quest state got bugged or something.

You can do the reacquisition quest from Hew's Bane atm. You can do it with many alts if you can/want. But this challenge will remain on your challenge board for weeks before it will be completed. It was supposed to be a WEEKLY challenge tho..

For the Season One Tamriel Tome Weekly Challenge “Complete 8 Thieves Guild Finder Quests”, the only quest that gives credit / progress to this is Spencer Rye’s Reacquisition Quests received from Abah’s Landing.
After completing his initial quest “The Sailor’s Pipe”, the Tip Board next to his spot will offer one of 4 different quests on daily rotation.

Josseline Madier’s Reacquisition Quests obtained in Glenumbra’s Thieves Guild Tip Board do not give credit / progress to thie specific Weekly Challenge, nor do any other daily Thieves Guild quest. They will give credit / progress to the other Glenumbra Thieves Guild daily quest challenges. Whether this is by design or an oversight is unknown, ZOS shall have to clarify on this.

This has been tested and verified by my groups over 2 days. Screenshot below shows progress for 9 credits (8/8 claimed once for 200 Points, and 1 credit in progress). These quests can be shared by other players, so you may ask in Abah’s Landing zone “LF Thrall Cove quest” etc or similar to obtain more than one quest per character per day (to a max of 4 completes per character per day - note same rule applies for sharable daily quests, the same named quest cannot be repeated on the same character on the same day).

Which Glenumbra Thieves Guild daily quest are you referring to? If you're referring to the Seasonal Challenge shown in the picture, it only progresses with the new main story quests.

See below screenshot. This is an example. There may be more, the complete list of Season 1 Weekly Challenges is yet to be known.
“Complete any guild daily quests. Thieves Guild dailies offer bonus progress.”

I did not mention anything about Seasonal Challenges. Not sure where you got that impression. “Weekly Challenges” was mentioned multiple times.

Well I have learned one thing from this weekly challenge: I have 16 characters that can do the quest. I had no idea I'd done even the little you need of the Thieves Guild with that many.

I've been doing all the daily quests for the new Thieves Guild content in Glenumbra, but my challenge isn't progressing at all

The challenge description says it can be completed in either Hew's Bane or Glenumbra, yet none of the Glenumbra dailies are counting toward it...

I even earned the achievement for completing the Glenumbra Requisition Quests, so it definitely seems like the quests are being tracked for achievements but not for the challenge

A weekly quest should be able to be done within a week, on one character, without having to ask other players for the quest or rolling over into another week.

Okay, I'm calling this task a fail. I just rerolled it and got 'do a group dungeon x3'. I'm glad I did since I understand and can do group dungeons. It is too bad since I quite enjoyed the TG questline but the weekly and seasonal associated tomes tasks are a frustrating mess. Will ignore the seasonal TG tasks until/if they get sorted out. Certainly not grinding for imaginary keys or mythical fragments.

Yes all this and the new system is just so *boring*. The old system had more variety, and didn't need anywhere near the level of grinding the new one has for fewer rewards.

And if they are going to introduce something new like "dynamic encounters" there should be an explaination of what and where it is on the page!

I agree this whole thing is a mess.

@Rishikesa108 Why do you need to complete them within a week? What is wrong with rolling over into the next week? The limit is 12 challenges if I remember correctly form Season 0. Unless they changed it, and I missed the announcement.

Simply because this should be a WEEKLY challenge. And this is definitely a bug, as other players have pointed out.
