Hello, all.

We wanted to update everyone on the issue many of you are encountering with the Yvierry Estate in the Thieves Guild questline. We're aware that the "Use" prompt is not working as intended and blocking quest progress. We are working on a fix, and will keep you updated as the team continues to work on it.

    For a temporary work around just join a group and leave it when you enter. Only one person needs to unlock the gate for the whole group so you can get 12 in really fast, took us about 2 minutes for someone to be able to trigger the door.

    After many times of pressing E and then reaching the lock pick screen, I got through that gate and am enjoying the quests very much.

    @Rkindaleft That is good to know the grouping worked! Players were talking about trying it in zone chat.

    Thanks for letting us know you are aware and working on a fix. :)

    I hope the nature of the fix turns out to be something that can be implemented quickly and via hot-fix.

    any ETA for a fix? like is tonight at all possible or should we stop waiting around for now?

    I've had some success finding the prompt by standing just under the right side of the entrance arch and aiming towards that side

    I can confirm this works, and helps bypass the silly people who refuse to queue

    Getting in a group helps by pass it and get in quicker.

    My prediction - because they recycled the lock picking code from a safe box or treasure chest (that only allows 1 person to interact at a time) this won't be fixable through a hotfix and will require a full blown patch. I really hope I'm wrong, but that's my prediction. If that does end up being the case, it could be a week or two before we see the fix on Xbox once it's released. Which especially sucks because apparently on Xbox NA there's a group of players doing all they can to tie up and block the gate in order to troll players.

    They need to just remove the lockpicking portion of this.
    This should have been fixed by now.

    A player had the idea to group, and we managed to enter by making a 12 ppl group. You should really test these things, it is embarassing. I can't remember bugs like this in the first 5-8 years of ESO.

    It is not players' responsibility to do ZOS work for them. They have QA department who is paid to ensure this doesn't happen. Yet, once again, it did happen.

    That issue didn't really come to light on PTS because not a lot of players use it.

    Alright, so this is gonna sound REALLY weird, but, I found the lockpick prompt in WILLOWGROVE - REAPERS MARCH. Over in the grove with the atronachs, decided to head there to farm atronachs for the dyes and boom, there it was. Don't know if it will be there for you all, but there it was, I unlocked it and I am now inside the manor when I TP'd back. ai75qi4ghusp.png

    Spamming E in first person is meant to but after 30mins it did not for me.

    Can confirm the Willowgrove thing! I was in a group and picked the "lock" there and everyone got in!
    Not sure how the lock also ended up there in Reaper's March! :D

    ... all right it seems you need to wiggle your cursor around and you'll eventually get the lockpick prompt and you can get in

    Tempers are running pretty high about all this, I was just in Willowgrove and someone got really annoyed at not being able to pick the lock right away, accused somebody of deliberately sitting on the lock to block it and apparently reported them in-game for trolling. :\
    AD is the best looking faction. I don't make the rules, I just enforce them.
