Does not help if you cannot get a lock on the proper interface. All I can see E use. The lockpicking interface keeps flickering, but I cannot get a lock on it.

Waiting in line is a normal part of everyday life because many experiences are shared with other people. Whether it is waiting for a concert to begin, standing in line for a ride at an amusement park, checking out at a grocery store, or boarding a plane, a line is simply a fair way of making sure everyone gets an equal opportunity. Rather than being a punishment, it is a system that helps keep things organized, safe, and respectful.

Standing in line can also build patience. In a world where so many things happen instantly, waiting reminds us that not everything worthwhile is immediate. Often, the anticipation can even make the experience more enjoyable. Looking forward to a vacation, a favorite meal, or a special event can create excitement that becomes part of the overall memory. Waiting for something meaningful often makes finally reaching it feel even more rewarding.

It is also important to remember that everyone in line is waiting for the same reason. No one is being singled out or treated unfairly simply because they have to wait. Every person ahead of you is also waiting their turn, and every person behind you will wait for theirs. This shared experience creates fairness and prevents confusion or conflict over who should go first.

Finally, waiting in line offers an opportunity to slow down for a few moments. It can be a chance to talk with friends or family, listen to music or a podcast, read something on your phone, or simply observe the world around you. Instead of viewing the wait as lost time, it can be seen as a small pause before something enjoyable. In many cases, the experience at the end of the line is well worth the few minutes—or even longer—that it takes to get there.
    FOR THE PACT!!!!!

This is literally a terrible start to the new content that should be hotfixed asap. Standing in a line for an hour watching impatient people cut ahead and slow the trivial lockpicking down to a crawl is not good optics for moving forward in uncertain times, game-wise.

Conversely I mashed E for 10 minutes until eventually I didn't even get the prompt.

Will try again at some point in the future...

Cant say if it is same for everyone, but it seems like it is some kind of pixel-hunting. It worked for me when I looked at the bottom right corner of the gate in 1st person mode & pressed E a couple of times while scanning the floor / door-frame area with a mouse cursor - then I got the lock-pick mini-game.

While I do not like that players have to resort to waiting in line. It makes me happy to see players working together this way.

While forming an orderly line is indeed nice, I'm not sure how it would help in a pixel-hunting situation since the players do not obscure interfaces. I literally had to wave the mouse-pointer and spam E because the lockpicking interface kept flickering (I could not lock on it).

PCNA was cluster at the gate no one got in. PCEU had an orderly line that never moved.

This was 2 minutes into starter quest. I have little hope for the future. I hope the guy that made this quest wasn't fired.

Welp, as much as I don't do story quests right away so I can let the crowds clear out, this definitely confirms that as a good strategy.

Please everyone remember you have the entire season to do this. And it's not even gonna be gone after the Season ends.

does looking straight up at the sky box work for targeting it? I have found this helpful for targeting certain objects that are obscured within the game.

Its a "GAME", where we are the "Hero of tamriel" there is a world of difference between this and standing at the checkout in a shop

Why the hell was it even designed this way? Literally no where else in the game are you expected to wait in a line for a quest. It doesn't help that in game you have virtually no way of knowing what the issue is. On Xbox NA there's just a giant crowd at the gate. So it gives the appearance that the gate is bugged.

Was really looking forward to finally getting more thieves guild story. Talk about a huge disappointment and waste of time.

This just reinforces my decision to wait until season 2 with the quest line. Some missed out tome points are not worth dealing with immersion breaking crowds.
