Will continue to pay for + as needed. Might not be continuously.
Will probably not buy any tomes, don't really need no cosmetics.

I had the crowns left over to pick up missing DLCs, so I have cancelled ESO+ and will try playing without it. I have always subbed monthly and the subscription will expire in a few days. I am not sure how well I will handle playing without the craft bag, so I might end up playing less and less, which is a bit of a shame, but if new content is going to be sparse then that would have happened anyway.

I was never going to buy the Tome either way because it has nothing I am interested in.

I will do what I have always done, pay while I play. I did not purchase tome 0 but I will buy tome 1 because it has a thing I want in it. Declining to pay while still playing simply out of protest wouldn't do anything and would ensure the game dies faster. There is no form of protest that can be done against Microslop, other than not engaging with their products further. But I love this game and I don't want it to die.

The MMO genre is in the garbage bin. What else am I going to do? I'm a New World refugee and went down with AoC, there is no place for me for what I love about MMOs. Do I play WoW and instance spam? Stand in town in FFXIV? Chase after meaningless gear and milestones in GW2? I would do all those things if I had to but ESO won the straw pull and it was a good decision, so far. I came back because of the Werewolf rework and it's a 9.5/10 job. The DK rework is also amazing and I was excited about the future.

Current events is where my concern begin. How many of the minds behind the combat refresh team was impacted? Is the Warden rework, and ensuing classes, going to pale in comparison to the quality of DK and WW? Are other combat changes that tackled "floaty" combat but maybe werent publicly discussed now gone with the individual(s) that planned them?

My concern is: How does this impact the MEANINGFUL changes that were going to help ESO be a 30 year MMO without feeling like one?

I'm going to keep paying until I have a clear outlook on what the future looks like. The genre is already dying, it doesnt need my help. If I had a better MMO to play, I'd be playing it lol. The $15 I pay for ESO are pennies compared to any amount of fun I could squeeze anywhere else.

I'm not inclined to continue. However as I have 300 days of subscription left I do have a lot of time to evaluate my decisions.

My gut reaction is however "No more monies to the microslop!"

Eso+ will stay active, there are a lot of things I won‘t miss while I‘m playing

When it comes to tomes, idk, didn‘t buy the first one, but who knows, if there is something I really want to have then maybe yes.

The future of the game is for me no criteria to decide if I pay for something or not. I pay because I enjoy it now. Once I don‘t enjoy it anymore, I won‘t pay anymore. Nothing easier than that ;-).

I won't give this game any money unless they change the necromancer refresh to this year in order to make that class playable again.

Right now the necromancer class is destroyed and will be weakened even more with that class refresh order where the class will be refreshed last.

Five years of nerfs, and we got told to wait two more year when class refresh were announced.

This was and insult to us! especially that this is is a paid class!

So no! I do not intend to give anymore money in this game unless it becomes playable again for necromancers, and if people tell me again to change class, I will tell them that forcing players into other classes is not acceptable. Sometimes I feel that I should have left the game when stalking blastbone got removed.

I was already planning to reduce my subs from 3 accounts to 2, the only problem being the decision as to which one to drop. Recent developments won't affect that.

I have no interest in tomes, and certainly have never intended to buy the premium versions.

To me, this is, in fact, a very hard decision to make.

I've been playing ever since some beta days in 2014. And I've never - not even once - cancled my subscription.
I kept the faith, although at times I lost the interest.
But I always came back, never doubting my financial support too much.

This sad news comes at one of those times I don't have much energy to sink into ESO.
And - this ignorant business decision Microsoft has pronounced touches a nerve.

ESO has been a constant in my life.
I've lost friends and relationships on this path,
but that Dunmer Nightblade was there to ease the pain.

I doubt I want to suffer through this "death of a thousand cuts".
They sent lots of notices of termination -
which to me is a very substantial step on the way to prepare for the
    maintenance mode.

My sub expires in February, so I don't need to make a decision right away. The updated roadmap will determine what I do.

As for the tome, I'll check it out today and see if there's anything on the premium tier I really want. If yes, I'll buy. If no, I won't. Nothing has changed as far as that goes.

I don't think I'll ever be the big-spender I once was. There was a time I'd buy 5+ big pack of crowns a year during the sales. It's been two years since I've done that.

Now, I'll probably get the tomes if there's something attractive in them and I'll continue ESO+.

I'm not prepared to say this is the end of ESO. It's a painful, but short-term setback. They'll realign, figure things out, and move forward. I do think the content cadence will slow down, and that's fine, I don't have to play everyday. It can just be something that I check in on.

I rarely subscribe and bought a month recently so I'm not planning to do it again any time soon.

I didn't buy the last tome because there was nothing I wanted. I haven't seen anything in the new one I want, but haven't gotten to look at all the rewards yet. If/when there's one with items I want I'll buy it, but I'm not going to get it just because it's what ZOS have decided to sell.

Since they stopped making zone DLC and then stopped chapters this game has gotten a lot cheaper for me.

    [X] Other

I'm already subbed up to next year - I pay for ESO+ on an annual term. I'll decide next year whether or not to renew, rather than have any knee-jerk reaction to the recent MS news.

As for the tomb, it all depends what's in it - nothing caught my interest in the season 1 tomb, but that's not to say I won't buy season 2 if there's something I really want. I still have 13 credits from the ESO+ sub, so in any case, I'll get my next upgraded tomb for "free".

As to whether I'll continue playing ESO - which is ultimately what will determine if I pay for anything - that will entirely depend on the roadmap and updated schedule ZOS have promised to give us in due time once things have settled down.

On a side note, my total investment in ESO works out at 22 pence per hour - based on hours played and money spent - this is on par with most other games I own (not MMOs) ... so it's not like I have a reason to be critical of ESO from a cost perspective, it's good value for money when compared on a £/hour basis to other games (others vary between 15p/hour up to 27p/hour - many of which get completed never to be played again).

After season zero, I see no value in the premium tome, free track is all I will bother with.

We'll see what they say. If reworks are getting pushed back until 2028, no. If new content is going to be coming out at the speed of erosion, hell no. I don't have much faith in this game right now, but I hope I am wrong.

Not sure yet, depends if they gonna delay the class rework or not and the balance going farward. If they are gonna spend more time than allready stated or left things unbalanced for long times at the time i think i am not gonna be spending much on the game. I really dont care about new content as i never actually finished the main story or any of the dlc’s and i been playing since the game came out and mostly just pvp if i am not grinding for new gear.
