Ranking The Top 10 Addons (If you need to limit the amount)

If I had to narrow down my massive list of 36 addons to just the essential ones, these are the top 10 >IMO< I absolutely cannot play without. My ranking reflects my focus on inventory management, economy, and endgame optimization but that is not ALL of the addons within as my goal was to prioritize Addons which many players, especially new ones would greatly benefit from picking up without getting dozens.

10. HarvestMap: Tracks every resource node you've ever found and helps map out efficient farming paths. Personally, I have a knack for memorizing visual data, so it ranks 10th for me, but it might be much higher for you if you struggle to remember node locations or don't farm often.

9. Lootdrop Reborn: Displays your loot, XP, currency & more gains on screen. It’s invaluable for spotting great drops in real time, and it can even pull market data from TTC to show you relatively accurate item values on the fly.

8. Map Pins: A great exploration helper. It populates your map with chests, important locations, bosses, Mundus Stones, lore books, and sky shards data, significantly speeding up your completion time.

7. Votan’s Minimap: I’m a huge fan of having a minimap in an MMO. This one is highly customizable. You can scale it, move it around, zoom in/out, or even bind a hotkey to toggle it on and off when you need a cleaner view.

6. Advanced Filters: Essential for an economy-focused player like me. It allows me to sift through my massive inventory and break items into sections, which is a life saver when managing PACKED loot, especially across my multiple accounts.

5. Master Merchant: A powerhouse for trade data. It tracks guild sales, helps you keep up with guild dues/requirements, and lets you see the actual trade history of items you encounter at traders.

4. Combat Metrics: If you want to push your performance in ESO, this is non-negotiable. It provides detailed data on DPS, heals, and damage taken. It’s the ultimate build crafting tool for maximizing your output, or combat data tracker to understand your DPS parses intimately.

3. Lazy Writ Crafter: This addon completely changed how I play years ago. It automates your daily crafting writs, turning a painful, long task into a process that takes mere minutes per character. I honestly don't know how console players did it without this for so many years. I am impressed at your resilience and determination though! But also very happy yall get to join us these days with this bad boy of an addon haha.

2. Awesome Guild Store: The standard game trade UI is lacking and frustrating imo, but this BEYOND fixes it. It provides deeper search parameters, saves your filter settings between visits, and creates a much cleaner, more efficient buying/selling experience.

1. Tamriel Trade Centre: My #1 must-have. Because ESO lacks a global auction house, this addon (combined with the desktop exe and website) is the only way to track item values effectively. It allows for in game searching and price history lookups with a single click. it’s a MAJOR tool in my ESO wealth.

Be careful with Harvest map & Votans Mini Map, I have been told that certain players PC limitations can cause this to be very taxing and cause lag. And thus is why HM does not seem to be on consoles due to their limited processing power.

13. Crutch Alerts - Trial Helper addon, some players use just this one to reduce bloat but lack some functions.
14. Easy Travel - You can use easy commands to fast travel to locations instead of scouring the map.
15. ESO-Trade Hub - Like TTC you can use this in combination or instead of TTC.
16. Fancy Action Bar - UI altering/customizing Addon
17. Gear Status Color - Gear UI, display repair status in an appealing way without mouse over.
18. pChat - Chat Window Customizer
19. ToxicPlayers - Look, we have a GREAT community. But some suck, this helps you track & avoid them.

20. PlayerRoleIndicator - Displays what role each party member is so you know even in the heat of battle.
21. ExoYs ProcSet timer - Do you use sets with procs and timers? Consider this addon for tracking them.
22. Roomba - IS CRAZY for large inventory management, auto stacking matching items and such. Love it.
23. Character Knowledge - This is huge for tracking completion of collection knowledge.
24. No, thank you! - QOL addon which helps rid you of the annoying notifications you are tired of getting spammed with.
25. Personal Assistant - Adds many QOL features such as auto repairing gear and auto depositing currencies.
26. Wizards Wardrobe - A MAGICAL addon which can auto swap setups for you quickly and efficiently per fight.
27. Navigator - Easily mark player homes and travel between them with simple clicks.
28. Leadlist - An up to date tracker of current leads and where they drop.
29. Potion Maker - This helps with crafting potions/poisons easily & learn unknown traits easily/efficiently.
30. Vampire's Woe - Have a simple key bind to turn off criminal spells on command, to avoid accidents in town
31. BeamMeUp - Teleporter (Fast Travel). You choose a location and BMU will try to use any of your guild or friends list to do it for free.
32. Traitbuddy - Track all of your trait progress with timers and labels to expedite your crafting knowledge process. Especially useful if doing so on multiple characters simultaneously.
33. Srendarr - HEAVILY customizable bars and icons for all buffs/debiffs/CD's etc. (Comprehensive video guides from the creator Phinix which is an extra awesome perk)
34. Leo's Altholic - This can be very useful for many of us MMO gamers who are addicted to multiple characters, keep track of where you left them and what they need no matter which you are on.
35. Harvens Custom Map Pins - A map game changer! gives you very customizable map pins like Skyrim or mods. I use this to make paths to follow, or visuals to take screenshots of for guildies/videos.
36. Arkadius Trade Tools - More trade, value, guild dues, sales record tracking.
37. Farming Party - One of my absolute favorite addons, it almost made the top 10 list. Tracks loot drops endlessly, even if disconnected or logged out. Tracks loot of party members and displays it in real time in the window or chat. And adds up values to easily display. "Gold made this cycle" which you can reset anytime.
38. Hodor Reflexes - Hodor Reflexes allows you to view shared DPS and Ult data from group members.

I will continue to update this on request and after I inspect the addon to rate its "worthiness" so it's not just every addon ever made haha.

It comes in really handy, especially if you've got a lot of characters. Makes it easy to check which one I left a gear set on (or did I deconstruct it ages ago and no one has it anymore, lol).

In no particular order ones that I think have a more universal application: Inventory Insight, Combat Metrics, [Redacted], Extended Journal, Hide Group, More Markers, Advanced Synergy, Map Pins

To round out the 10 are more specific ones some players might never find remotely useful but I find indispensable: Roomba (for stacking guild banks) and Hodors (to help track ultimate related buffs/debuffs)

All awesome and used by myself as well. There are so many addons and so many are QoL boons.

I'm surprised no UI were listed really, LUI Extended and Bandit's are my favs, it is a pain but I use both. Once they are customized and setup I love it.

Auto Bind - Fill that stickerbook, even then the combat is thick and your group wants to go for speed runs.

Bar Steward - Awesome bar element to display LOTS of useful information and currencies.

Character Knowledge - Track the progress of what characters have or are missing motifs, recipes, scripts, etc.

Code's Combat alerts - if you're newer or mid level experience and want to have a little extra help, just yes.

Comp's Word Boss timer - I find it very handy for knowing when a farm is about to respawn when tabbed out etc. if placed right.

CrutchAlerts - Trial helper, best IMO

DisplayLeads - Antiquities must have

DragonNextLocation - Dragon hunters tracking device

Dungeon Queue 4 Stickerbook - specific queue helper

EasyTravel - /goto desh /goto billybob etc, simple lightweight and effective.

ESO-Trade Hub - better than TTC IMO, but I would use both and average prices.

ExoYs ProcSet timer - handy for keeping track of uptimes on set timers.

Fancy action bar - Love my UI

Favorite Dungeon Rotation - filter your specific queues with your starred favorites

FCO Lockpicker - I like this lockpicking aid

Gear Status Color - I stopped using AlphaGear, but I really missed the color coding, this replicated it.

Item Cooldown Tracker - Cannot remember if you opened a reward of the worthy today? this will help.

LovelyEmotes - Emotes are fun

OdySupportIcons - Yes I like to know where supports are

pChat - I love this for chat window customization

PersonalAssistant - Probably one of the most important addons you will ever find and learn to use.

PlayerRoleIndicator - Support roles displayed overhead without group markers.

Reset Markers - A new one to me, but very helpful for doing survey's and maps

Set Collection Markers - Stickerbook tracker.

Tagarn's Skill point tracker - I actually met the author in a random dungeon. If a friend or guildmate enters a delve or public dungeon you're missing skyshards from a compact UI element can alert you and you can just click it to teleport to them. Useful for filling in missing skyshards on alts.

ToxicPlayers - Get kicked or bullied by a neckbeard? Add them to your ignore list and leave a note, this addon will alert you later for when to group leave. It also shows guild tags above fellow guildmates and friends.

Traitbuddy - Researching traits on alts, this is a blessing for it.

Unboxer - configure to auto remove the need to clickity click click click.

WPamA, Writworhty, Lazywrits, etc so many were already mentioned and great. Pick and choose what you want, I know I have tried to thin mine down over the years. I removed most of the trial addons since Crutch does them all, maybe not as well but good enough once you've learned.

I would definitely add Inventory Insight to that list.

It's not just every character's inventory, bank, guild bank, but every house and all your storage chests, I am lost without it!

I have...checks...21 that I use, not including all the libs they need. I suppose if I had to choose 10 of them (in not particular order):

1. pChat: I RP mostly in ESO, and pChat has a setting that lets it alert you when specific words are mentioned in chat. It also just has basic chat settings that make the chat more accessible, like resizing the window (you can have it cover your whole dang screen if you want), the ability to restore your chat up to 48 hours after logging off, the ability to copy chat from specific channels so you can paste it somewhere else easily, the ability to choose what your default chat tab is, and others.

2. Dolgubon's Lazy Writ Crafter: This one probably doesn't need any explanation lol. It comes in especially handy during the Jubilee to get all my Writs done on a whole 20 character roster ahaha x__x'.

3. No, Thank You!: This one lets you disable SO many different alerts and other things in the game. Don't want the large group notification? Don't want the "X chance to improve" dialogue? Don't want to interact with Insects? Don't want the "Get Help" option when right-clicking an item? Don't want to get "X friend logged on/off" alerts? Don't want to see the Crown Store pop-up when you log in on a character? NTY can block all that and a whole lot more (a note, though, that blocking the Crown Store also prevents you from opening the Announcements in-game since it opens by default to the Crown Store that it's set to block lol). NTY also has setting that prevent your character from being spun when accessing things like your inventory or the menu, which is SUPER good for not breaking emotes during RP.

4. Lost Treasure: This one puts simple pins on the map where Treasure Maps, Survey Maps, and ToT Clues are. Not very fancy but it makes finding those things so much easier than trying to guess where the heck in the game world the little sketches are trying to indicate.

5. Votan's Improved Locations: This one organizes the Locations list by Alliance (starting with your character's Alliance) and then all the other Zones in the game, all of them alphabetical. It also lists your last five most recent Zones at the very top. It makes it so much easier to find in the list whatever Zone you're looking for and it just looks nicer than the default list does.

6. Awesome Guild Store: This one adds SO many more filters and such to Guild Traders. You can search by things like quality, by name, by Known or Unknown for Recipes and Motifs, and so on. It makes looking for things so much easier and faster.

7. Master Merchant/Tamriel Trade Center: I know they're two different addons, but given how closely together they work I just figured I'd lump them together. MM paired with Awesome Guild Store will also show when something is either overpriced (there will be a number in red under the price), average (listed in white), or various levels of below average (green, blue, purple, and gold, each one indicating in general how much the item is basically discounted at). It goes based off MM's data, not TTC's, but it can still be VERY handy in not overpaying for things/finding deals and also finding stuff listed cheap for those who get their Gold from flipping.

8. Furniture Catalogue: As someone with over 2.1k learned Furniture Plans, it's pretty much impossible for me to keep track of what I know and what I don't. This addon tracks not only all the craftable Furnishings any given character on your account knows, it also tracks every Furnishing in general and has information of where or how to get it. It also tracks what quality each Furnishing is and for craftable things, what mats are needed to make it.

9. Bar Seward: This allows you to display a SLEW of different things in either one bar or numerous that you can position on your screen. It lets you show the time, how much of any given Currency you have, what your CP/level is, what your current Location is, your Mount Training timer, Research Timers, it lets you put shortcuts to things like Houses or Allies like Bankers, and a whole bunch more. Saves some time in having to open your inventory or dig through other menus to check X or Y or access things like a House you use all the time.

10. Display Leads: This one shows you all manner of info related to Antiquity Leads. It tracks what Leads you have and how long you have before they expire, it lists where each Lead drops from, it lets you sort by a number of different factors such as things you can actively Scry, by missing Codex entries, by things you've never Excavated yet, and others.

Honorable mentions: Roomba, for quickly stacking things in Guild banks (since Guild banks are notoriously bad about stacking), Port to Friend's House, for setting various Houses of people as favorites so you can easily jump to them whether the person is online or not, and Item Set Browser, which lets you search any Set in the game and lists where it's acquired from.

Interestingly after the latest update(which I downloaded last night) MM seems to perform at a much lower level of power hungry.

I was shocked and pleasantly surprised today.

Imo one of the best add on is "personality designer"

this lets you create custom personalities by automatically playing a custom selection of emotes and mementos in a specified order and frequency while idle... this is amazing to create your own personalities and finally have a use for all the emotes and mementos we constantly collect...

THIS is a fantastic shout! And actually I have never remembered to look into it, but I have an old acquaintance/friend who has SUPER impressive characters made to look and act like various heroes and such. And he definitely used this one, I will add it to honorable mentions in the text parts of the guide. I appreciate ya!

I use a good number of these already, but I would also suggest a few more:

BeamMeUp - Teleporter (Fast Travel) - This lets you port to anyone in your guilds, has a few crafting houses listed within their list of houses, teleports you to your houses (outside, of course), and most importantly, in the Extra Features part of the menu, you can select it to tell you how many surveys you have left of a particular survey! Very handy!

Vampire's Woe - This one is realllllly handy if you want to avoid casting criminal skills, lets you set up a simple keybind to turn attacking innocents on or off, set whether you're feeding or using the blade of woe against innocents, just simply great to have if you like committing crime or, if you're trying NOT to commit crime.

Potion Maker - This helps with crafting potions/poisons easily, but also, if you're learning the traits or want to exclude certain ingredients from your Alchemy stuff, you can easily do that too.

LeadList - An up to date tracker of current leads and where they drop, basically Display Leads but current.

Some QoL addons (Not absolutely necessary, but do help)

Personal Assistant has been invaluable for its customisable auto move to junk feature. It also auto-repairs gear.

In addition to all of the ones already mentioned, I also use Navigator to bookmark and one-click travel to selected homes from the map list

These are the ones most all my characters use:

Character Knowledge -- shows recipes, furnishing plans, motifs, scripts/grimoires, and crafting research. Also shows on the tooltip of items which characters have learned the item.

Map Pins -- shows uncompleted POI on the map

Master Writ Inventory Marker -- places a colored mark next to master writs to show if the current character can make it

Notebook 2018 -- it's a notebook for notes. and for me to keep track of character themes and what they were last working on

Provisioning Station Sort by Level

The Questing Guide -- gives an in-order list of story and dungeons/trials

Writ Worthy -- only use this to show missing materials, as the default interface automatically selects the quest items

The problem I have with these videos is that the creator mostly just list the addons they use, nobody has the time to test random addons for one week and post an honest review.
So all these addons rankings are more a mixture of word of mouth, addons you downloaded after seeing another creator video and personal preferences, it often kind of loops through the same addons and it takes years for a new good addon to make it through word of mouth.

I think that's the point of a Top 10 though. Players are sharing the Top 10 they find the most useful. How they found it doesn't matter; more that they did, at some point, and developed such a love of it that they can't imagine playing without it.

But hey, an Addon Showcase of the week (or month) might be a fun project for someone to share.

Well, grubmaster still works great as is lol. Thanks for letting me know it's been combined into a new add on though, I'll get the new version that's being supported now. The auto consume XP scrolls will be nice addition for sure too.

Just a note about No Thank You, it's not really a chat management addon, it's a notification management addon mostly, with an ability to send notifications to your chat box if you want and some other utility like removing certain dialogue options (like "Hide Get Help" or "X Chance to Improve Item" options) and not spinning your character when accessing menus.
