I have used some of the difficulty options (please list the ones you have used)
I've completed 18/12 of the Golden Pursuits activities on PCEU, and don't plan to try to complete the remaining 2 before the GP ends in a couple of days.

I don't remember how many I've completed on PCNA, but I belueve it's a few less than on PCEU-- but definitely more than were needed to earn and claim all of the rewards from the GP.

I've tried all of the settings, but I prefer to keep the option set to Adventurer by default, as I sometimes help random players kill WBs if I see them call fir help in zone chat, and having it set to Seasoned has already led to at least one misadventure! :)

But I may occasionally switch to one of the other settings while farming low-level mobs for fun (Vestige), or fighting sone of the slightly more dangerous foes (Master or Vestige), although I don't think I'll be able to tackle bosses on anything higher than Seasoned unless I do some serious retooling of my characters' "builds" (if you can even call them that).

I'm glad they added the feature for those players who'd been asking for it.
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!

I've been using Seasoned for farming/world bosses/incursions and Master as default for questing on my main. On my alts, who have only RP builds and only quest, I am using Seasoned as default.

However, I find myself having to swap to Vestige for most quest bosses to achieve anything close to a challenge on most quest bosses. While these now can kill my characters (sometimes painfully quickly) they also still die ridiculously quickly, even with RP builds, because they have barely more health than a normal enemy.

I find the difficulty settings to be a massive improvement over the default, and will continue to use them, but the sledgehammer approach has really exposed how poorly balanced many of the quest bosses are.

Update to the update: I have finished the Seasoned Slayer achieves on both accounts (as well as the GP, I finished it on both of them in like 2 days) and have since gone back to Adventurer. I'm one of the people who are more than content with the standard difficulty. I might bump it up to level a bit faster here and there, but other than that and any future things like more GPs or Dyes, I won't really be using anything other than Adventurer.

I will say, though, that it IS a bit too early to determine actual success. I left my setting on Seasoned so everything I killed would count towards the achieves. Since I finished those achieves now, I've set my difficulty back to Adventurer. It's VERY possible that many who have set their difficulty higher and left it there are doing the same thing, and will set it back down once they're done getting whatever achieves they're after.

It's just like when they made a whole thread about the NM being really active a single week in. Like...yeah of course it's going to have a bunch of activity, ALL new content has a bunch of activity for the first month or so. What would have been more telling is knowing how active it was afterward, and how much people were still engaging with it like two and a half months in.

I don't really think overhyping early numbers is a particularly informative thing to do. Tell us stats three months in, six months in, one year in.

I don't know if it was already mentioned, Vestige should greatly increase the chance of lead drops.

U51 is already going to update the lead drops thing at any rate.

I'd say the higher difficulties should increase the chance of monster trophy drops.

I have not used any of the Overland difficulty options
    Update since I voted:

I used Vestige just enough in some group situations to get the “Vestige of…” title and the GP. Then, on a new theme character I created to try out a zookeeper build I have been using Seasoned and will immediately go back to Adventurer after I get the new dyes.

I’ve been with the game from the beginning, so at this point, I’m happy to think of my characters as godlike who can easily deal with normal threats throughout the game with very little effort. But I am happy for all the people that are enjoying this new system.
