Item Collections ("Stickerbook") completely gone (until game restart)

Hey,
I just logged into the game and got the reward for the end of the Night Market. I was slightly irritated at the many symbols in my inventory, implying that I can unlock certain sets, but I didn't pay it much attention at first. I then went and checked collections. My summary says that I have only 5 items unlocked (whereas I should have thousands of unlocked sets). I did reload without addons to be sure (even though I didn't know of any addons I use in that regard), but the issue is still there. I also tried changing characters. The 5 items I have unlocked are all masks & shoulders from the Opulent Ordeal. It did show ALL of the items as new, even though I only received 2 through the end of Night Market-reward, whereas I had unlocked the other three (missing only 1 head) weeks ago.
It did solve itself after closing the game and starting it again (only just thought of that after writing everything up), but I thought I'd leave the report here nonetheless, in case it's an issue that can be prevented altogether, to avoid the sudden fear I felt when thinking I had to do it all again

✭You're not alone.
The same thing happened to me. Same sense of dreadful terror filling my mind. Thousands of collected pieces apparently vanishing into thin air. Collection tab reading "0 of 10693 collected."
I too tried disabling my addons and then logged on another character, but the same horror was waiting for me.
All that effort seemingly gone...
So I too contacted ZOS - not via bug report but by asking for assistance since I really wanted those collected pieces to be restored. Somehow.
Then I spent a nervous half an hour googling and querying the Forums until I happened upon your post.
So with a bit of trepidation and fragile hope I restarted the client and logged back on. And this time my collection seems to be there. I hope it is all there... No way I can remember from the thousands of different gear pieces which I have and have not collected.
In any case, thanks for posting this, really helped with my anxiety. As for ZOS... You really ought to look into what caused this and how it can be prevented. It really is a horrid shock to be hit with when logging on to the game. I was feeling physically unwell when it registered on me just how dreadful a prospect it is to have to start your collections from scratch again.1 -
