'Isle of Telvayn' is a new Dunmer roleplay guild based on House Telvanni culture and practices. A new mushroom tower has risen over Vvardenfell, and with it come fresh opportunities. Join the powerbase of a recently appointed wizard-lord: Velen Telvayn.

Are you a recently acquired slave? A citizen of Morrowind seeking the protection of a Telvanni wizard? Are you a fledgling mage searching for instruction? Or are you, perhaps, a mercenary looking for a long-term source of coin? Whatever path you walk, there may be a place for you here.

What does 'Isle of Telvayn' offer?
The guild offers a lore-compliant, heavy-roleplay environment where its members will be given the opportunity to explore all manner of themes, from adventure and exploration to magical research and training, through political intrigue and philosophical debate. Players will be welcome to explore all of these and more, with collaborative storytelling and personal character development always at the forefront.

'Isle of Telvayn' hopes to build a community where roleplayers feel comfortable and free to express themselves and explore their interests through our shared hobby, on a foundation of civil communication, patience, and kindness.

Who can join?
- OOC: A player must be 18+ to join the guild.

- IC: Dunmer are expected to make up the bulk of the guild's character roster. However, characters of a different ancestry are welcome to join on a case-by-case basis, especially as slaves and mercenaries. And while the latter may not offer vertical mobility, House Telvanni is known for allowing resourceful slaves to improve their status regardless of race.

What I'm up to as the GM
At present, I am workshopping the guild's roll system. I want it to feel familiar to TES players while also being simple and easy to pick up for people with at least the tiniest bit of experience with TTRPGs. Here's a sneak peek:

SYSTEM BASICS

D100 system
Final roll result = d100 + Primary Attribute + Skill + Specialty (if applicable)
Advantageous circumstances may grant further positive modifiers (at DM discretion)
Disadvantageous circumstances may incur negative modifiers (at DM discretion)
Success requires a roll of 51 or above (after modifiers)

CRITICAL RESULTS

Critical Failure: A result of 1-5 on the die (i.e. before modifiers) is always a failure and may carry further negative effects (at DM discretion).
Critical Success: A result of 96-100 on the die (i.e. before modifiers) is always a success and may carry further positive effects (at DM discretion).

The system is going to feature most of the classic TES attributes and skills: Agility, Endurance, Intelligence, etc., and even Luck; Acrobatics, Destruction, Blade, and other miscellaneous ones such as Craftsmanship, Medicine, and Survival.

Location Update

Thanks to a friend's assistance and amazing work, now the Isle of Telvayn has an in-lore location just off the coast of the northernmost corner of the Telvanni Peninsula. Along the shores of the Sea of Ghosts, Tel Vanna rises. Check it out!
