Chiming in for my girlfriend who does not have a forum account, please fix this outfit to conform to the body and not float on certain races.

It is her favorite outfit you guys have made, but that one issue makes it unusable on half of her characters.
Dragon Priest [Restoring Light, Draconic Power, Grave Lord]
Death Knight [Grave Lord, Winter’s Embrace, Siphoning]
Pyromancer [Ardent Flame, Dawn’s Wrath, Earthen Heart]
Summoner [Living Death, Grave Lord, Daedric Summoning]
Ranger [Animal Companions, Green Balance, Shadow]
Druid [Earthen Heart, Animal Companions, Stormcalling]
Elementalist [Stormcalling, Winter’s Embrace, Ardent Flame]
Dawnguard [Dawn’s Wrath, Restoring Light, Ardent Flame]

I reported the Finery of Elegant Chaos directly to Customer Support and included screenshots (with some of y'all's included, thanks!) showing the large gap between the skirt and the character model, as well as the clipping and mesh separation that happens while walking.

Support apologized, but said they aren’t able to offer compensation. They recommended that I submit it separately through the official Feedback/Bug category or use /bug or /feedback in-game.

I followed up, and they explained that submitting an in-game bug report is especially helpful because it goes directly into the development team’s tracking database and helps them see how many players are affected by the same issue. They also mentioned that bug reports don’t go to Customer Support and won’t receive an individual response.

I’ve now submitted it through the recommended bug-reporting channel as well. I’d encourage anyone else experiencing this to submit an in-game /bug report too, since more reports may help show that this is a widespread issue and not just something affecting one character or body type.

I’m honestly just really sad and disappointed about it. I was looking forward to this outfit being released ever since I first saw the promotional image, but seeing how it actually looks on my character is just… really bad. :\ For a 400 Crown Gem Apex reward, I really hope they fix it.

Is certainly chaos, but elegant? Not on khajiit's runway, it is known for sure (at least until those issues are addressed)

It looked quite badly off on several of my characters just previewing it, so I do think this outfit needs a real fix when it's 400gems.

TBH I couldn't even consider this outfit when the bra that looks glued on. There are indignities that one doesn't inflict on their Khajiit alts. Removing a glued bra and unintentionally waxing said Khajiit is high on that list. I value my face.

Also what is with the obsession with making these costumes as revealing as possible, to the point where it just looks designed to show as much as possible? I love cute and sexy stuff at times, but this stuff just looks so tacky I can't imagine wearing it. My curvy sorcerer just looked obscene in preview lol. I'd rather someone just learned how to model and rig these outfits so they look like wearable clothes and pass basic QA for fitting and moving well with the character...

You can get the costume in the seal shop, so it’s basically free. There is your explanation and the reason why this is probably never going to be fixed.

Btw, the dress literally TEARS when the character walks... What's been going on with ESO's Quality Assurance?

That sure is 400 gem quality ….

You tell me? I actually spent those 400 gems on it XD

I'm trying to enjoy it and not look too much into it, but I totally get the frustration with expensive items not meeting an expected quality.

    My bad, I guess (?)

I'm so sorry - at least it can still be great standing and in photos! As long as you avoid being photographed where "the gap" is present and you are frozen in place to avoid the dress clipping.

I really hope they fix this up for folks though, it's way too expensive for that.

I almost got it myself but as a guy I didn't want the top, and even if I did wear the top I'd imagine it had to be super-glued onto my body as I don't know how it stays on lol.

They’re held on by magic. 🧙‍♀️

Take this from someone who's had to mess with meshes for mods before in various games, Cyberpunk, FNV, Elderscrolls, that gap is there so you have less clipping between different races and body types, gender.

It looks great to me overall, as with most outfits the proportions are gonna be better on taller bodytypes since they stretch out more. My Nord gal loves it.

^That thang pokin out lol, which if you like me and love the butt, thats also likely a result of their avoiding clipping and spacing out the dress a bit more.

That said, even Mirri looks pretty slender with it on, you gotta really zoom in to try and find something wrong with the costume.

To my eye overall its really not an issue, and you'd notice more clipping on this outfit if it were closer. Clipping is way worse to notice than small gaps.

I've actually really been enjoying this costume on a couple of my characters, and I didn't notice the gap until I read this board.

On my Redguard, I tried to choose the color so that the piece on the back blends into her skin and it looks more like the wings are just floating. The costume shows off her tattoos well, too.

I do sort of wish the wings were slightly bigger so they could be seen a little better from the front, but overall, I'm happy with this costume.

To me the gap is problematic because the skirt itself is disproportionately big. The top is tiny and clings, yet the skirt is huge, so the gap just exacerbates the imbalance. Perhaps it looks better on characters with larger chests and smaller legs, I don't know, but it just didn't look good when I previewed it on my very average-sized Breton.

This pic looks like she's scratching her bum!

This practice of putting costumes in the apex category sickens me - even more so when quality control doesn't seem to be doing any control whatsoever. I do more QC on my mods (which are free) than what I see here.

The transparent green weapons are also STILL bugged. When charging money for things, they ABSOLUTELY need to check, check and check again before releasing it.
RIP Atherton, my beautiful little gentle friend, my Shining Light. I will miss you forever. Without you I am a hollow shell.

:D She's using the dancer personality, and it caught her in a sway.

I do agree about having costumes in the apex tier though. I much preferred when the apex and radiant apex tiers were both just mounts.

Unfortunately, on the toon for which I was considering this outfit the dress tears a bit on the side even when in idle pose:
