Incursions and Zenithar Parcels

How does that work? I only got 1 parcel from a dolmen but no further ones...(3 different dolmen in 1 region - only 1 parcel from 1 of the dolmen bosses); is there a down time or?
Seems to work fine with world bosses...

But who knows, khajiit hears all kinds of things, even when he's all by himself.

yea i am aware but i still only got 1 parcel from 3 different dolmens of the same region

The event announcement makes it sound like you should be getting a purple event coffer for each dolmen or other incursion, as long as you're grouped with at least one guildmate. I don't know if there's a cooldown period, but I'm curious whether the event coffer drops from the corpse of the final boss or from the rewards chest at the end? The announcement doesn't say, and I haven't been bothering with any of the "only while grouped with a guildmate" activities during these sorts of events.

Correct, although the daily questgiver is also at other locations, such as at the Impresario outside Vivec City. I'm not sure if she's at all Impresarios, or just the ones in "chapter" zones; I'll check later.

But the OP is talking about the purple coffers which drop from completing incursions, killing world bosses, etc., while grouped with a guildmate. Players can grind for those purple coffers, and a lot of players do like to grind for them during most events, but I generally don't do that myself because the spoils just clutter up my inventory and I've got enough of a hoarding problem as it is.

I think this year they also introduced a cap of 12 total purple boxes per account per day. That's what happened to me yesterday even while grouped with guildmates.

A guildie I was grouped with had this problem. I was getting purple parcels, but they weren't. We just thought the parcels weren't guaranteed drops. Are they supposed to be?

I don't think this is correct. Yesterday a guildie and I camped Accursed Nursery because he needed it for his Tome. We got 15 boxes, not including the gold one or the one for the intro quest.

well we tried 4 dolmens - got both a parcel from the last boss on one, did both NOT get any parcels on the other 3 neither from boss or chest.... then we went on to kill 6 or 7 world bosses and received a parcel every time....

My Khajiit master thief racked up many purple boxes by pickpocketing and then....dispatching...some fine citizens. Can confirm there is not upper limit to the amount of boxes, at least that I've found.

And...umm...excuse the mess in Stonefalls.....

There's a 5 minute cooldown on parcel drops. If you're running dolmens with a zerg, you're likely finishing them so fast that the cooldown hasn't expired yet.

I think there's a cooldown. I remember guildies complaining last year because they couldn't farm Craglorn bosses the same way as the previous year.

I'm personally disappointed at the drop rate from pickpocketing. Spent long enough at it to fill my daily fencing allowance without a single drop. I'm not active in a guild and I don't know enough motifs for master writs. I guess I'll just be getting 2 a day and won't be able to complete the tome challenge. Was hoping I could steal to reach it but I guess not!

That's a huge relief! I haven't been back into ESO today so haven't had a chance to run around with guildmates.

There is a 5-minute cooldown on coffer drops, so running dolmen in the same region (Auridon and Alik'r particularly) is likely to get you 1 parcel for each three or four dolmen. Camping World Bosses is actually more efficient. Since the parcel cooldown and the boss respawn timer are the same, you'll get one parcel per boss kill, but do five minutes of thumb-twiddling between spawns.

There is ~5min cooldown, dolmens don't work as well if they have heavy populations. The event boxes only drop from the "boss" of the dolmen and not the reward chest (bad design imo). I get one every single world boss unless they are also heavily camped.

Dolmens don't work for me, yes there is a large group I got to do 5 bosses or so and no parcels.
Tried pickpocketing..... after 10 attempts nothing.

Apart from Master Writs, there is no other way to farm these elusive parcels?

As far as I know, these are the ways to get solo boxes:
- Doing the daily quest (CP/guild trader/chest), those are per character, per day.
- Each character can also do the intro quest (apples, wood, awl) once per event.
- 1 per account per day for crafting daily writs*, and
- 1 per account per day per each type of master crafting writ (alchemy, blacksmithing, etc).
- thieving. Unlimited, but very low drop rate.

(*I am still salty that it's not every daily crafting writ, every character. That is the primary reason I leveled all my characters in crafting. Now, of course, that has paid off in many other ways, but that 1 year of a flood of purple boxes still lives rent free in my brain.)

I've been going to Craglorn on all of my decent DPS toons, grabbing the quest, then going to Summerset to do the WB/Delve quests for farming furnishing plans. I'm almost guaranteed to hit a chest in a delve or running to a WB. Turn in Summerset, turn in Craglorn.

I also do think - correct me if this isnt true - that the 5min downtime for parcels is character based and the timer stops when you log out of one character and starts again when you log back in...?

I think you may be right, but that is too much effort for rng rewards.

Oddly Craglorn portals don't have a cooldown, which is odd. The inventory management is real though.
