After a short hiatus I decided to give ESO a try. It was a mistake.

There were not a single BG where WW weren't dominating everything. I would be an idiot not to play WW to instant succes, but I would also go against playing for fun by playing a - basically - class I don't like just to get wins. What a horrible return experience. Though I would give my two cents before leaving again. Seriously ZOS, is this how professional game development looks like?

It is a shame, since updates nowadays are exciting I think, the Night Market, the QoL improvements, the new content - everything else is nice and maybe it will even revive ESO as a top MMO.
But the balance is dog poop. I'm also having a very difficult time coping with that.0 -

✭✭✭Even before the WW refresh BGs were often 1-sided. When I went to look into this situation people were already complaining about this in 2024 when they changed BGs to be only two teams where the real RNG was who had more OP members, and then within 30 seconds the match was over.
Right now I think for the most part if you are not a DK, Sorc, or WW - you are kind of just there.Edited by AScarlato on June 20, 2026 2:07PM0
