Finery of Elegant Chaos [outfit] Gap...is that intended?

Is that gap in the new Finery of Elegant Chaos outfit intended? I don't want to be the one to be critical, but I thought that the outfit would be form-fitting. Instead it looks like the bottom part was misplaced causing it to look weird, not fit to form, and it also makes the butt huge. Is this intended or not? I don't think it was.

The graphics also look weirdly stretched compared to other outfits, so it doesn't seem intentional. And it is visually jarring! At least in my opinion.

The bottom does seem a few sizes too big and held up by magic, surely not intended.

Praise Dibella. Everyone I know admits to using max butt slider and a common complaint is that it doesn't do anything.

I'll view this as the 2B leggings in XIV which are famous and probably the most used leggings in the game for making the behind bigger, which no other item does.

On the last picture the lady looks like she is wearing a maternity skirt (the shapes of the front and back combined give this impression).

Oh, my, that is bad, bad, bad. I hope they fix that... Did they ever fix the two-piece set that made chars look thick? I think it was a Khajiiti skirt and top.

Seems to have become a regular thing in crates now. Get revealing weirdly designed dresses, aimed for female characters (Everyone get weird bras), which are also not great in quality with bad model fit, dyeing, and/or textures.

Continues to be a complaint of mine. I wish there was a more traditional male fit to themes like this or any "bra" outfit.

Make them a toggle at least for male characters so those that want them can still use it as is.

This needs to be fixed. It's a beautiful outfit but I'm already tired of this weird gaping problem.

Oddly enough, I am not seeing that problem on Wood Elves, High Elves, or Imperial Ladies. On my characters, the outfit looks nearly perfect (not quite, but nearly). Perhaps it is an issue with a specific body type?

EDIT: If I look very closely I can see an ever so slight gap, but nothing like those pics. It must happen when the slider is set to a fuller body type.

You tell me? I actually spent those 400 gems on it XD

I'm trying to enjoy it and not look too much into it, but I totally get the frustration with expensive items not meeting an expected quality.

    My bad, I guess (?)

I'm so sorry - at least it can still be great standing and in photos! As long as you avoid being photographed where "the gap" is present and you are frozen in place to avoid the dress clipping.

I really hope they fix this up for folks though, it's way too expensive for that.

I almost got it myself but as a guy I didn't want the top, and even if I did wear the top I'd imagine it had to be super-glued onto my body as I don't know how it stays on lol.

Someone in a discord I’m in posted the dye channels earlier— the bracers and top are one dye channel. If your skin tone is something you can get in dye form, then you could potentially make it look topless for a more masculine look. I get “potentially” is not enough to go on to buy it, but hopefully someone with the costume and eso+ could try proof of concepting it.

Personally, I think I like it more with the top because without it, it’d look unbalanced (and, I don’t know, something about the pecs being covered. I can’t elaborate I don’t think LOL). But it would be nice if we could one day get toggles for costumes.

I have no male characters. I think I used "provisioner brown" dye for the bra. Hope this helps...
EDIT: "pink gold" dye on the bra seems to look better, but it gets metallic reflections so it doesn't get lost in the skin color.

This dress design brought to you by Guar Glue (™), the only glue guaranteed to stay put in battle! Bosmer tested, Y'ffre approved!

In all seriousness though, it looks like the mesh morphs that are supposed to adjust it to the character model aren't working, to say the least. I hope they fix them, I do like the little wings on the back >.>

Also, LTB a toggle for the bra tops on male characters. ZOS is denying me my Divines-given right to run amok shirtless with tiny wings glued to my back.

That disappeared some years back. Lack of quality assurance has been noticeable for quite some time now with cosmetics regularly being buggy, bad textures, bad dye channels, bad fit, and just weirdly designed in a way that makes me wonder if anyone on the design theme has any experience with clothes.
But of course, the cost the same or even more than they used to with them now always having at least one in apex. 🙃

Mine also seems a bit puffy around the waist and butt with my female Breton. The worst though is when she does that yoga stance from the Passion Muse personality, the dress seems glued to her leg and becomes all crumpled and stretched out.

Unfortunately, I think that’s a matter of how skirts are designed. I wish they had the physics of the “flaps” from chest pieces but instead they’re linked to the legs. For this reason, I avoid long skirts entirely and all of my characters wear short skirts or pants.

Thats it exactly. All of these outfits like this should have the skirt flaps as part of the torso like the Timbercrow outfit. Seems like otherwise all the long ones stick to the legs, and the short ones warp the shape of the thighs. The short skirts based on the Doeskin-and-Chamois Woods Wear are especially noticeable and make thighs all bow legged and skinny and it looks awful.
