New Art

I just wanted to take a moment to say "Thanx!" to whoever added the new art with Update 50. It looks nice. I've only noticed a couple new loading screens. Can we expect more? If yes, when?

Also, when are we getting a new character select background? I, for one, am tired of looking at that grotesque 1970's era golden backdrop. It's nauseating. Or better yet, when will we be able to choose our own custom character select background like other MMOs that are older and nowhere near as good as ESO have let use do for more than a decade?

Thanx again for the new art. Please add more.

Choosing the character screen? - sure!
Just changing the character screen we have now? - no thanks.
We've gone through many, and often times they were poorly received/appreciated. This one, compared to others, got the most praise, from myself too.
I can't go against the OPTION to have something else, but to just remove this one... Be careful what you ask, I'd say; you don't know what you'll get.

I wouldn't mind having that new art they added of the giant "Knights Who Say Ni!" as the character select background. I've a had a chuckle each time it's popped up porting or switching toons. LOL!

Btw, personally I've yet to digest that the preview/cover image for the game on console has been changed, from the one of last year to the one depicting Night Market - really miss the past one.

There is a new load screen art of a giant image that reminds me of one of the Knights Who Say Ni! from Monty Python and The Holy Grail in the background and lovely young woman in white in the foreground. I've seen it a half dozen times so far switching zones, in & out of dungeons and between toons.

I am PC NA. I guess not everyone received the new art. (Yet?)

No. It sounds like not everyone received the new art - just those of us on PC(?) If you are on PC I'm sure you've either already seen the new art or will soon. I've seen a couple of them multiple times and I don't play every day. If you're familiar with Monty Python and the Holy Grail then you can't miss the art I'm talking about.

These loading screens are used for loading the Character Selection screen in Update 50 and it doesn't seem like there is one that matches with what you've seen:

Are you really sure that you aren't misremembering things? Because I've never had something like that on PC.

i have seen all the artworks that Gabriel posted above my comment.

Since you have seen it several times already surely you could simply post a screenshot of what you saw?

yea that werewolf artwork is from 2018 Wolfhunter update.
The artwork with the alliance heroes on mounts is from 2025, it was used in some posts.

update 50 might have made some old loading screens appear more than before? but those are not new

Interesting. I have only been playing ESO since November 2023 and am completely ignorant of everything that came before then. During my ~2.5 years of playing I have logged in nearly every single day of that time (until last month) and had NEVER seen either image during ANY of that time. Not until Update 50 went live.

So, I guess if there is joke here it is on me. I laughed and still laugh when I see that Knights Who Say Ni! art. And I think I can be forgiven for thinking that the art is new with Update 50 even if it is only new to me.
