I understand it's fun to shake things up every so often, but should be be done in a way that completely changes the game?

There isn't a single person that can honestly say that the werewolf is not truly O.P. Too many people throw the word "O.P." around too often that things get lost in the mix. I don't use the word overpowered lightly.

In open Cyrodiil they are a problem. In Imp City they are ridiculous. In BGs, it's werewolf fest 2026.

I'm not against having powerful werewolf ( and vampires ) in Eso, but we should at least be able to have counterplay them. It shouldn't make an average casual able to withstand a dozen or more people at once. In the hands of an elite player, you can forget killing them no matter how many people are attacking them.

Maybe they should add something to Battlespirt that either nerfs, or buffs players to counter werewolves? Battlespirt won't affect PvE.

The best part is that there's no real counter or loss to balance it v. everything else in the game. And at the same time ZOS releases it, they talk about handing nerfs out to clasees that haven't been reworked and are already prey?

It's baffling how ZOS thought that dark cloak was so OP in the past at 8% hp/s healing, but we can get a literal tank with 0 real downsides with healing and damage in the same skill with the potential to heal far more than that, stack way more hp, and sustain it.

It's an absolute joke how they pick and choose what gets to be a "rulebreaker", and then those that break the "rules" always have way more positives than negatives.

I get it, they're going for boom-bust cycles and using powercreep as the mechanism. They'll probably push this kind of balancing every patch, but they don't understand that a large portion of the game does not like FOTM METAs, nor pointlessly grinding for a power increase.

Lastly, not every PvPer wants to simply win. I don't know about anyone else, but when fighting I need to sweat. I need to swear. I need to be able to lose. If that isn't the case, why am I playing? A victory means nothing if the path to it was uneventful and decided from the start.

Shame that a majority of PvPers in ESO don't feel that way. We see it with the scoring on PC NA right now. We see it with the packs of werewolves as they grow even bigger (seriously 30 WWs with over 45K HP AD?). We see it with players doing anything they can to win in the game.

It's not a real competitive environment IMO, just an imitation of one. Well that's why I fire siege.

There needs more downsides and counter play would be nice to see something like Dawnbreaker or Fighters Guild get a buff against vamp/WW for example.

I would love to be a fly on the wall in the meeting rooms of the people in charge of the class reworks and balance patches almost every nerf baffles me and has me scratching my head like what are they thinking.

I also play on PC from time to time but I just wanna be left alone on there so sorry.

For some reason they also lowered their vulnerability to Poison damage.

The most frustrating fact is that ZOS did receive their feedback on PTS servers about WW being ridiculously OP.
Yet they did not seem to give a damn, like they did not seem to give a flying damn about the feedback they've received for the Class Mastery system (from me included). This is saddening.

I really like new directions we have since U49-U50 and I'm excited to see upcoming content as well, but their inability to actually integrate their players feedbacks into the game (even Challenge Difficulty was implemented in a different manner than what was "most requested" by players) and their factual incompetence and/or lack of care to bring balanced content to PvP is just astonishing. Vengeance is not an answer, its an excuse not to revise the hundreds of in-game item sets they cared not to revise for years and an apology saying "sorry, we can't fix the stuff we created, we give something totally unrelated to you instead". Bleh!

There are tons of valuable data they could gather from the forums to claim some requirements and knowledge required to implement better functionalities and systems for their game and I fail to see that they are reading anything from threads they did not create - to give credit where it is deserved though, their thread of the "5 most desired features and 5 stuff to fix" is a major success, I'm loving it, I'm just very disappointed that they are not applying the same mindset to other parts of the forum.

I really hope that they'll recognize that if they really aim to deliver a product that has at least an intended hint of balance so far as END OF 2027, they will have no playerbase to sell their product to. Just look at the population shrink we're experiencing (especially PvPers) and you'll understand what I'm talking about. I don't want to see the population of Tamriel to disappear, and I pray to the Missing God that the momentum ZOS devs have will be enough to come back to the right track. U49 and U50 are promising, but we'll need more I think to survive as an MMO community.

    EDIT: fixed typos

Cuz all of those OP werewolves are wardens in disguises. I mean it is quite literally 1 build.

But, if history is a teacher, then it all looks dangerously similar to "Allessian Order" WW build.... The nerf hammer that happened later placed WW in a freezer for all content, for like 4 or 7 years, can't remember exactly.

They are broken just like DK, SORC and STATUS EFFECT MYTHIC.

Remove STREAK FROM GAME and lower sorc damage across the board by 50%

and lower DK damage by 80% across the board

“While you’re at it, nerf everything that kills me. Nerf weapons, nerf armor, nerf skills. From now on, everyone fights naked and hand-to-hand.”

Seriously, people screaming for nerfs like the world is coming to an end will never stop amusing me.

I think all class passives including mastery should be disabled in werewolf form.

Once they nerf a certain crutch set you'll see almost all of the usual 'skill based' players drop werewolf and go off to DK or whatever the next crutch build will be. Probably using the latest over performing mythic that'll replace the soon to be nerfed Mythic.

Heck some of them already are. Usually because it's not as easy mode as the options they were already using

Without that one set boosting a status effect based build werewolf will simply become adequate. So nerfing werewolf itself won't do as much as people think.

Nerfing werewolf but not nerfing that mythic will simply mean the usual sweat lords get to keep that particular crutch. They will then just go back to using streak DKS for farming level 10s at fare farm. While those of us who've been enjoying werewolf for years despite the challenges are once again punished by the bandwagoners and 'skill based' types.

This is interesting. I play Werewolf and have fought many Sorcerers and DKs that can go toe to toe with a Werewolf just fine. Just yesterday I played a BG and there was an enemy DK that went 16-0 and did nearly the same overall damage as any of the Werewolves on my team.

Werewolf is strong for sure. Sorcerer and DK are just as strong and have more utility. If you haven't observed that yet, then you need to spend more time in Cyrodiil.

That is not necessary. Just look up NB's class mastery passives. The strongest ones have battle spirit condition (it was added in PTS) which makes them quite weak in PvP. So NB in PvP is still better off with subclasing.

As for the WW - that one specific build that everyone is losing their mind about is only possible with warden class mastery passives. I am really not sure why Warden did not got battle spirit condition added to those passives on PTS (just like NB did). I guess some one did not asked themselves "what if" questions...

You have.no idea what your talking about. Werewolf isnt "op" at all.
The real problem is the shattered signet mythic mixed with status effect gears like thread of war etc. Its the same as pulse gankers..they abuse that broken mythic.
NERF that first then look at ww.
I think you should try play ww without broken status effect gear and see. Its not OP at all, and if you meet a good dk he will wreck you.
They need to nerf this status effect a using.
I play WW , and i have always played ww for.many years. I use sheer Venom and pariah and its pretty balanced. Last night I meet a status effect ww and he almost one shotted me.
So you should try see whats the real problem is before you come here ry about something being op.
Let me see your build also. Bet you run around like a glass cannon like everyone else and crying about how OP everyone is.

It's the total sum of things that makes a build. When you add them together they become OP. They need to adjust any and all of it because it's out of control. Also, the WW is very strong on any build. As I said previously "It shouldn't make an average casual able to withstand a dozen or more people at once. In the hands of an elite player, you can forget killing them no matter how many people are attacking them."

We will bestow the gift of the beast's blood to any brother or sister who desires to be part of our growing family. We will crush any foes who get in our way... -First-Wave Closed Beta Tester of the Psijic Order, aka the 0.016 percent.
Exploits suck. Don't blame just the game, blame the players abusing them!

-Playing since July 2013, back when we had a killspam channel in Cyrodiil and the lands of Tamriel were roamed by dinosaurs.

-In-game mains abound with "Nerf" in their name. As I am asked occasionally, I do not play on anything but the PC NA Megaserver at this time.
