it's time to talk about the invisible bump that harasses people in vvardenfell

if you done crafting in vivec city you know you know what i'm talking about. you just finished crafting and you mounted a steed and you gtrot across the docks at breakneck speed and there it is, the sudden uplift on the rear of your ride or the person in front of you on theirs. Something lifts them 6ft in the air like a huge speed bump that appears under you or them out of no where.

It's time to put a stop to this weirdness!

I'll be honest this is funny but I'm more personally sick of the screaming bears aor blasting light in my face from the wayshrine when someone pops in. Or pets standing on the tables, etc.

I've never seen this and I do writs at Vivec on 8 characters every day. Is this on a specific server?

If you mount when running toward the drop-off location, especially if you are on the left side of the dock, you will sometimes jump up like you went too fast over a speed bump. It's kind of funny.

Can someone post a screenshot of where this happens? Maybe I'm not crossing the same spot but I've never seen anyone traveling ahead of me do it either.

I'll test this out when I log in later.

I thought this was going to refer to the slight catch when running from the docks toward the bank. I roll dodge over it to avoid my character tripping on the same small part. That and the stones when going through a gate in wayrest. You'd think my character could pick up his feet after running all over Tamriel.

I tried this running down the left side of the dock.
I tried this running using sprint down the left side of the dock.
I tried this on a mount down the left side of the dock.
I tried this on a mount using sprint down the left side of the dock.

I tried this on all 8 of my characters and was not able to replicate this.

Then I stood and watched othes approach and did not see it happen to anyone.

It's there so you do not trot at breakneck speed in commercial areas with a lot of pedestrian traffic.

But I agree, that one is annoying.

Gotta agree. Never experienced this or seen it.

@FurryCandyHearts What mount are you using?

I wonder if it has to do with increased speed. I don't use Major Gallop or any of the CP that grant speed.

But if that was the difference I'd still see other players doing it, but I never saw a one.

I have Major Gallop and speed CPs. Maybe a Ring of the Wild Hunt issue?!

Yup, it's along there. I've never noticed any pattern to exactly when it does and doesn't happen.

Yeah, that bump gets me regularly as well. Sometimes if I'm thinking about it, I'll have my mount jump to avoid it.

yes about half way down the straight away. i tried to find it on my twitch videos but i couldnt find it right now. i'll be sure to record tomorrows craftiing.

No, there is indeed an invisible bump that makes your mount jump mid ride in that particular place.
Edit: it does not happen every time but enough for some people to immediately recognize what the OP is talking about.

It happens more often the faster to move, and its only while mounted. So you need the mount speed buffs.

If you dont have them, its a lot less likely to happen.
