My suggestion would be if you want to try housing start small!

You can get various Inn Rooms free and there are several houses awarded by completing particular tasks, in particular zones.

I wouldn't jump right in with an expensive crown(real money after all) house, I would explore what is available for gold first, there are some really varied houses out there. Some of the unfurnished houses brought with gold actually have items in them that sell for more than the house costs.

Night's Den is a player house located in the Night Market's Starlit Plaza and is accessible from the Shambles. It can be obtained by completing the quest Those Who Would Rule when the Night Market is open. There is no "unfurnished" version of the house.

So just do the intro quest for the Night Market and you get the house, there are still two days left before the Market goes away.
