High Isle the Long Game.

On High Isle prison isle part there is a quest called. The Long Game. After you get the keys, and enter the vault you automatically captured, and the quest ask you to talk to Marcelle Dantaine. She is standing right on the other side of the bars. Problem is, that it is not possible to talk to her. The prompt just doesn't appear. I tried abandoning, then retaking the quest, tried with all addons disabled, tried retaking, and doing the while while addons disabled nothing works.

Trying logging out and logging straight back in if you haven't already! That normally works for me when a quest giver prompt doesn't work

I'm doing the High Isle content for the first time and also experienced the same thing. It must have worked in previous versions of the game, but in the current Update 50, the bars in front of Marcelline are completely blocking interaction. You cannot talk to her to progress the quest.

I've tried all the usual suggestions like abandoning and restarting the quest, logging out for 15 minutes to let the instance reset, disabling all addons, etc, but it doesn't help.

To try and work around the issue, I teleported out and then ran back into the cave, bypassing the section where you're teleported into the cell and managed to run up to Marcelline from the other side, and she was interactible without the bars wall between us. So there's nothing wrong with Marcelline NPC, you just can't interact through the wall, which you must have been able to do before.

It didn't help me progress the next part though, because the next step after talking to Marcelline is to talk to Valentyn inside the cell, so I couldn't get back in without resetting the quest step back to entering the cave and being teleported to the cell and having to talk to Marcelline, which you can't through the bars, again.

The quest is completely blocked.

Also I'm not the only one - other people can't complete the quest either. While I was in the cell, at least a dozen other people doing the same quest teleported in to the cell, and they also couldn't talk to Marcelline.

I just went and tried to complete this quest myself and saw the same problem as described above.

I would open a support ticket to report it. I remember this quest being wonky but it's been years since I completed it. This definitely sounds like something cause by U50 so reporting it is probably best.

I have same issue can't progress quest.2026 and we still get quest issues.

I haven't tried this quest since U50 was released, but in general I tend to have problems being able to interact with NPCs who are separated from me by bars-- not just in ESO, but in pretty much every RPG I've played that includes that sort of scenario.

One thing that usually helps me is to switch from 3P view to 1P view so it's easier to try to target the NPC through the bars.

But if there's a problem with the bars themselves-- if the spaces between the bars aren't being treated as empty spaces by the game for whatever reason-- then switching to 1P view isn't going to make any difference.

I'm getting the same bug. Tried all the normal troubleshooting options with no luck.

Submitted an in-game ticket and the response was "We greatly appreciate you bringing this potential bug to our attention. This information has been collected and will be passed on to our development team. You will not receive a further response to this ticket. We encourage you check the Bug Reports section of the ESO Forums as well." Then at the bottom "This incident cannot be reopened or updated. If you need further assistance, please submit a new ticket."

Also having this issue. Tried with and without addons, relogging, restarting game client, traveling out and going back in... nothing worked.

Still bugged. You cannot target her. I tried it yesterday with and without add-ons. I tried today again.
