Necromancer: Living Corpse and Beautiful Corpse cannot be active at the same time

Description:
When wearing the Nobility in Decay set, it is impossible to have Living Corpse (from Bone Armor) and Beautiful Corpse (from the Nobility in Decay set bonus) active simultaneously.

Because Living Corpse is not displayed as a visible buff or status effect, it is difficult to track directly. However, the following test reliably reproduces the issue.

Steps to reproduce:

1. On a skill bar without Nobility in Decay, cast Bone Armor (or the Summoner’s Armor morph).
Living Corpse is applied and you are able to use the corpse consumer Necrotic Potency (the morph that restores 6 Ultimate).
2. Switch to a skill bar with Nobility in Decay equipped and cast Bone Totem.
The Beautiful Corpse buff appears in the Active Effects list.
3. Cast Necrotic Potency.
You receive only 6 Ultimate instead of the expected 12 Ultimate.
Expected result: If Living Corpse and Beautiful Corpse are both active, Necrotic Potency should consume two corpses and grant 12 Ultimate.
Actual result: Only Beautiful Corpse is consumed, and Living Corpse appears to be overridden or ignored, resulting in only 6 Ultimate.
Conclusion: It appears that Beautiful Corpse replaces Living Corpse, meaning both effects cannot coexist on the character at the same time.

Additional issue:
When Bone Armor is used on a bar with Nobility in Decay equipped, both Living Corpse (from Bone Armor) and Beautiful Corpse (from the set bonus) trigger their internal cooldowns, but only one corpse (Beautiful Corpse) is actually granted.

Design clarification / suggestion:
If it is intended behavior that Living Corpse and Beautiful Corpse cannot be active simultaneously, there should be a clear priority system. For example:
1. First GCD – casting Bone Armor on a Nobility in Decay bar grants Beautiful Corpse (set bonus).
2. Second GCD – a corpse consumer is used to consume Beautiful Corpse.
3. Third GCD – casting Bone Armor again grants Living Corpse, since the Nobility in Decay effect is on cooldown.

I was just about to make this same bug report, hehe.

So I can definitely corroborate what you observe.

If you proc the set with Bone Armor you only get a single self-corpse, which is effectively deleting a huge component of the set's value when using the most obvious and useful skill to proc it from.

What happens if you use the other morph or the base morph? Does it give 2 or 4 ulti?

Never get involved in a land war in Asia - it's one of the classic blunders!

For the sake of a clean experiment, I’ve just tested all possible combinations of Bone Armor, Beckoning Armor, Summoner’s Armor, and Bitter Harvest, Deaden Pain, Necrotic Potency under the same conditions as in the first post. In all cases, only one corpse is consumed, so the issue is not related to Bitter Harvest, Bone Armor, or their morphs. The issue lies specifically in the interaction between Living Corpse and Beautiful Corpse.

I was actually considering rebuilding my tank from nightblade to necro to have 2 self corpses with this set.
    I guess that's a disappointment..
Is this a bug or by design?

If I had to guess, they're probably coded as the same effect and therefore can't both proc at the same time.

After Update 50, if you are on a skill bar with Nobility in Decay and cast Bone Armor (or the Summoner’s Armor morph), you get both the Living Corpse and Beautiful Corpse buffs.

    The Good News:

If you then use Necrotic Potency, it consumes both Living Corpse and Beautiful Corpse, granting the expected 12 ultimate points. This means that with Necrotic Potency (and likely with the base skill and the other morph), everything works perfectly, and overall, it's a huge win.

    Interaction with other skills:

If a character has both Living Corpse and Beautiful Corpse active (immediately after casting Bone Armor) and you try to use Restoring Tether, it consumes Living Corpse, while Beautiful Corpse remains in the buffs on the character sheet. You cannot use this remaining Beautiful Corpse to cast Shocking Siphon on yourself anymore. Even if you wait until Restoring Tether finishes, you still won't be able to use Shocking Siphon with this Beautiful Corpse. But if you use Boneyard, Boneyard will consume this remaining Beautiful Corpse and correctly increase its damage by 30%.

If you use Boneyard while both Living Corpse and Beautiful Corpse are active, it will consume both Living Corpse and Beautiful Corpse at the same time.

So far, I've only had time to test what I described above.
In any case, the situation has become much better than it was before.
