So this image shows the highlighted portion in white where it is that zos is spamming us. If you agree then choose yes otherwise choose some other response. This notice needs to be removed or at the very least toggled off after a portion of time or at the users request. It takes up valuable screen space that used to be occupied by my maps addon thingy for the zones sorting. Please remove your spam ZOS.

Are you using Bandit UI? If so, check that you still have the checkmark for minimap enabled. Recently, I got that box unchecked for no reason on a couple of occasions and ended up with the same issue as you described (the info taking place in the top right corner instead of the minimap). Going into settings and placing a check in that check box solved the issue.

I do think there should be a way to turn it off. Of course, it's possible with addons, but it should be a base-game functionality. You can unpin golden pursuits, but for some reason pinning is per-character. It'd be better for me if pinning was account-wide, so that when I'm done with the pursuit I can just unpin it and not deal with it on every character.

The first is showing the active quest objectives. It will only show this for one quest at a time.

The second can be toggled off in the Golden Pursuits window.

Yes, you can unpin it there. You will have to unpin it for each character but then it shouldn't come back.

I don't know why they start every Golden Pursuit with an objective pinned but they should really stop.

The quest notifications in the upper-right aren't all that bothersome as far as my tastes go and it does at least remind me about which quest I have active (doesn't make me any more inclined to actually go do that, TBH).

I could live without the constant Golden Pursuits reminders, though. Those can be unpinned once the capstone has been claimed, but it's a visual annoyance until then and it just picks another until the capstone gets claimed. 'Course I play frequently enough that I don't need the constant reminder that there are pursuits running. Others play much less frequently and maybe do.
I'm fresh out of outrage, but I could muster up some amused annoyance if required.

I don't think pinning it once is spam. People need to know it's active because Pursuits and their rewards are only available for a limited time and then they're gone. So, people need to know they are happening and not everyone reads the websites.

You can just unpin it after the heads-up and they won't keep replacing it.

I think pinning it once is spam because they do it for every single character and it won't go away until we manually open the Golden Pursuits and unpin it.

Then every single time there is a new Golden Pursuit they do it all over again.

Just put an announcement when logging in about the Golden Pursuit and leave it at that. Oh wait, they do.

Fair enough on the per character thing. They should probably just give an option to unpin account wide though. A lot of people don't pay attention to that announcement splash because a lot of it is about the crown store. The pin ensures that most everyone gets a chance to see before it's gone. I'm also not sure if any golden pursuit rewards have ever come back. If not, then it's even more important because people could miss out permanently just because they missed it was active.

To remove the quest tracker part go to......

Escape > Settings > Interface > Heads up Display and turn off "Quest Tracker"

That will get rid of your Pledge reminder and any other quest the game might try to put there.

This is on PC with no UI Addons so a base game feature. :)

An account wide option would be a great step in the right direction.

both can be turned off. Quest tracker can be turned off in Settings (it's under either gameplay or hud settings i believe.) Golden pursuits can be as well as another has already shown.

In reg UI press "P" > Golden Pursuits and unpin the task from the pin on left of tasks

Hover over the pin and it should offer the "Unpin Task" option.

What key do you use to open the Group and Activity Finder?

Golden Pursuits are located in that sub menu.

You can't turn Golden Pursuits off. You go to the pinned objective and click the icon to unpin it. It's usually the first one.

This shows the pinned objective. The pin is bigger and lit up when it's pinned. Click it to unpin in.
As you can see, I'm not doing the Night Market, either. The few objectives I did get just happened as I was playing normally.
The options at the top of my screenshot that say "with reward" "hide complete" and "default" are part of the Improved Golden Pursuits add on.

They have had that top corner covered with that information .... FOREVER.

Did you just notice it now? It's got your active quests and other optional info. It is EXTREMELY easy to ignore. I have Never had an instance where it blocked anything I was trying to use.

And by the way, the opposite of Yes is NO. Refusing to make that an option just creates bias and invalidates any poll.

No that hasn't been there forever. Golden Pursuits haven't been around that long.

It may be easy for some to ignore but not for everyone. I found the pinned Golden Pursuits objectives very annoying, too.

The OP came here seeking advice and help and I think it's nice that several players stepped up to help.
