After all these years -- please give us the option to abandon Soul Shriven in Coldharbour

I am not entirely certain how this works for characters created since this has been reinstated as the tutorial, but all my characters were made before this point, and most of them still have this quest sitting in their journal.

Those characters who have not already done it will never do it, because being Soul Shriven is not part of my story for them. Please give us the option to abandon this quest so it does not block the quest journal, for both practical (there is a quest limit) and minor annoyance (if you do not wish to do it, there is no other way to remove it, and it just sits there) reasons.

Surely I cannot be the only person who would like to have this option. It should also extend to Cadwell's Silver and Gold, of course.

The soul shriven quests are a big part of the whole eso storyline. Varen Aquilarius (or the old man as many player refer to him as) is a vital introductory part of how you as a character ended up in Tamriel.

You don't have to do the harborage quests but they dont take long and these quests really explain the history of the 5 and the foundation of why you are the pivotal character in the story. Also, by the end if all these harborage quests you end up with approxiately 11 whole skill points.

I respect your personal view on this but i thought i'd bring some light as to why this quest is a big part of the eso story. Most rpgmmo games have a main storyline to explain where the hero came from or came to be in the land. I imagine you dont want to do it on all your alts but i dont know how to get rid of it from your quest journal other than just doing the quests.

I've long wanted the option to abandon this quest. I've done it plenty of times and most of those were just to get it out of my quest log.

I realize the base game was built around the story of the Vestige and so forth, but subsequent chapters were not, and since you technically can play them in any order you want, it doesn't make sense to shove this quest into everyone's log, no matter if they want it or not. Since we're allowed to skip the tutorial once we've done it, why not let us skip this quest series, too?

Fair, i now understand exactly why this issue is frustrating for you and yes that is a good point you made...if we can skip the tutorial why get stuck with the shriven quest in our log. I hope they fix this for you and anyone else that it's an issue for.
